SPOILER ALERT

In the end I believe it doesn't matter if Cobb was still dreaming or not. The reason why they didn't show the dradle fall is because they wanted the audience to realize that reality can be perceived in anyway one wants.... reality can be the dream world or the so called "real" world.

When he got hit by the train (about mid way though) he wakes up and runs to the top but gets distracted and goes to the bathroom... the entire movie was just a dream in the 2nd one he wakes up from there.

I just saw this on Monday. It would have been a wicked movie if it weren't for the stupid girl beside me talking, laughing and texting through the ENTIRE movie. :flaming A great reminder why I never go to movie theaters, I hadn't been to one in a looooong time, and I don't intend on EVER going again lol

Gonna have to watch it on DVD again I guess. Good concept though, loved the ending... holy cliffhanger!

What a great movie.....one of the best flicks in a while. Anyone else notice that most of the cast was from Batman Begins???

You are right indeed. 5 actors in total.

Yup inception was an easier movie to understand.
shutter island was just O_________________O Say what?

PS I hate people who talk/laugh throughout the entire movie too, it gets my blood boiling, there was this one time when this chick put her feet up on my bf's chair?!?! wonder what happened?:D

SPOILER ALERT
I believe it was either he was just in a dream the whole time (even with the last part)
The only way you would know if he was in a dream if the top kept on spinning and they didnt cut the movie
Or if it stopped, then he woke up from his dreams and the last part was real!
SPOILER ALERT

You sucker-punched her so hard that she went flying into the projector?!

It was definitely a great movie. Inception just had a lot of detail to support the story line. I'm gonna have to watch it again to get the parts I missed.

To me shutter island was a bit disappointing cause I've seen that ending so many times before. ANYONE see the invisible water glass the woman was drinking during the interview of the patients?

lmao. what are kachichas?

You sucker-punched her so hard that she went flying into the projector?!

ahaha, i wouldve done it if she did it the second time around.
pretty sure she thought it was "ok" to put your feet up on someone's chair
because when i told her off, she seriously put her feet down so fast that i was even taken aback ahaha

who wants a tm3 inception meet lol

SPOILER
It's a total mind tease, but when i came home i couldnt stop trying to figure out if its a dream or not, at the end, his kids are wearing the same clothes and in the same positions, so he may have stopped questioning reality like he always said you should and simply accepted his dream, in which case when his wife killed herself she would have actually gone back to reality.

Then again, his figurine began to wobble and it shouldnt be doing that in a dream and if she killed herself and woke up she would have tried to wake him up as well.

Soooooo, what i found to be the best reasonable conclusion, is the ending is inception. The director planted an idea in your mind, of the dream world and reality. and throughout the whole movie, they let this idea grow. Therefore there is no real ending just an idea that they have planted in your subconcious using inception.

Saw it on the weekend, great movie.

SPOILER

My take is that his wife was right and she can't wake him because of the whole sedative limbo deal. That to me was the whole point of the spinning thing at the end. If they wanted to show you it was real it would have stopped spinning.

***Spoiler!!!!***

Maybe he's a figment of his wife's dreams, so he couldn't end it even if he wanted to.

Well written and directed, and perfectly cast.

I would say that the top toppled at the end after the movie ended.. but it was cut short to provoke thought.. much like the end of Basic Instinct.

Best movie out there so far IMHO is still Usual Suspects. Only movie I had to watch again after seeing the first time almost imediately.
