17" Tires on my 2006 MZ3 GT

Hey all,

My brother in law might be getting a 2006 GT GFX MZ3 but will most likely have 18" tires installed. Meaning I would take his 17" tires...I have a 2006 GT (not GFX) with 16" tires....

Has anyone done this?? How does it look??? Pics?

Buon, are you sure yours is a GT? I thought all GT's come with 17's while the GS and GX came with 16's.

If you really have a GT, then 17's should fit no problem.....its just like going up to stock LOL.

The GFX Pkg came with 17" tires, side skirts, sunroof etc. I bought the GT with 16" tires, and power everything...

To note that the 17" tires will come with rims as well...

Your car might look a bit higher if it's not lowered because the 17s will likely be 205/50/17 if they're stock and with the tire being a bit thinner you'll notice more of a gap, but I'm sure it'll look factory regardless.

What are the measurements of your current tires?

They're 205/55/16 - with the 17s then, you think side skirts will be needed to reduce that gap??

Side skirts will make it look nicer, but they won't do anything in the way of reducing your wheel gap.
