I was on the Tirerack website looking for all-season tires in 225/40/18 and was leaning towards the Continental until I came across the Yokohama's. Anyone have experience with either one of them?

I might go with the Yokohama's because the treadwear rating is higher at 560 vs 540 for the Continental. In addition, the country of origin is the US which means that if I were to pick them up at Point Roberts, I would save the 7% duty. It is also slightly cheaper by $4.

In terms of the service description, the Yokohama is 92W while the Continental is 92Y. Both are in the "exotic sports cars" rating. Both are classified as Ultra High Performance All-Season.

I'd like an opinion on which to choose.

Thanks

What kind of price are you getting in the US? I doubt the Envigor is much cheaper in the US than Canada... probably not enough to make it worth the hassle anyways.

I love the Envigors. We have sold a ton, and I have them on my VW Rabbit Daily Driver.

What are you using these tires for?

I don't recommend spending that much on all season tires...

I just bought the COntiental DWS. $525USD shipped to point roberts just south of BC..gonna drive down to pick them up.
$525X1.06(exchange rate) X 1.19(duty and tax) = $662 CDN

i'm using them for all season use...not gonna have 2 set of tires.

+1 so did I, the 1 week of snowfall that melts as it touches the ground is as intense as it gets in the okanagan
