I had my tires rotated at the dealership this weekend. I am now noticing increased road noise. Its almost a rhytmic noise that increases as speed increases. I am also feeling just a slight vibration on the floor which was not there before. Its hard to describe the noise but its as if the wheel is not making a perfect rotation on its axle. That probably doesnt make sense. But anyway, any opinions. I am calling the dealership on Tuesday.

You may also need an alignment...

How often do you rotate your tires? Sounds like your tires are feathered which cannot be fixed with a balance. If you get a vibration in the steering wheel then it's your rear tires were out of balance before the rotation, but if you are getting a reverberating noise and it increases with speed most likely your tires need to be replaced.

I have to admit I have been less than perfect with my tire rotations. And I think my tires are paying for it with uneven inner thread wear.
Assuming I need an alignment and new set of tires--would it defeat the purpose of getting an alignment and still using same set of tires I have now.
When I had the cars rotated the dealership told me tht my tires still have " a season" of life left on it.

Most reputable shops will not do an alignment on a car that needs tires, it defeats the purpose. The shops that will still do an alignment for you avoid them, they just want your money and will do a piss poor job as well. Unfortunately it sounds like you need to bite the bullet and buy tires and do an alignment. You will enjoy your ride a lot better, that's why you got the car in the first place isn't it? To enjoy the car.

We have specials on tires see my sonsor section for more details and then there is a couple places I can recommend for an alignment if you want.
