I financed an 06 Mazda 3 "GS" through this company, well the financing company bought it from them, blah blah lol.

I went to see the car and whatnot, everything was good. I had to buy it without test driving it which wasnt an issue. Coming down to the day where I had to pick it up, he was not there and a few days prior, one of his employees had misplaced the keys. I had to wait for him to take the car to the dealership to get news keys cut and programmed. He covered this fee which was nice.

Upon picking up the car, my girlfriend and I went through it, it was rather dirty and seemed to have been sitting for a little while. The brakes squeal when moving it. The car pulled to the left and shook a bit while driving / braking. I am sure this is due to having new tires slapped on and being to lazy to balance them and align them. My girlfriend searched through the car and she found a packet of lube (for sex, not for hinges :P) and I also found a few crumbs of weed left over in the armrest. I think if he paid attention to his cars he would have cleaned this out from the previous owner, but he did not.

Overall, I love the car but disliked his way of doing things. He was sloppy and unprofessional. The car was a good price, but I paid for a "GS" apparently, and have "GX" features. I got the car at 98'700k for $7995.

Though i got the car financed, do you think the financer would pay for the problems such as the balance, alignment, false "advertising" about the GS / GX issue, etc?

The shaking/vibrating is most likely bad motor mounts as it it VERY common in these cars pre 2010 (We test drove a bunch with this problem) . Why do you think you have a GX and not a GS? Are you saying it had 700km or 700,000?

Pulling / shaking could also be because something being bent from the car hitting a curb, pothole, etc.

I doubt the finance company will offer any sort of compensation, unless that sort of thing is written into the contract.

(And I think you already know that not taking the car for a test drive was a huge mistake.)

http://mazda.ca/include/printtable.asp?tablefile=/eng/Vehicles/Archive/2005/mazda3/sedan/Mazda3_subnav02_content01.xml

Here are a few things that are standard on the GS that I do not have...

15" alloy wheels
Outer door handle – body coloured
Protective bodyside mouldings – body coloured
Rain sensing wipers
Auto light control
Driver and Passenger visor w/ vanity mirrors
Map lamps
Silver finish on inner door handle
Lockable glove compartment

It seems to me (with the features i DO have), that I have the GX with CP (convenience package).

Rear motor mount - had this exact issue a few months ago with mine. 1/2 hour or less to install by anyone competent (I got taken).

Sorry, I thought you mean't you had a '98 with 700 kms! . Definately seems like u got the gx to me, can anyone else confim this. Does it say GS on the bill of sale?, b/c that's most likely the only "proof" you could use to see if they screwed you!

If you email or PM me the VIN of your vehicle, and your contact info, I can get you some info on the vehicle (I will need to verify the ownership first). j.guttman@qewmazda.com

If the wrong information is provided on your Bill of Sale, you may have some options. I'll call you to help answer some questions.

Also, just in case some people are confused, Oakville Auto Sales is NOT QEW Mazda :whoa

^^^ And that is why every person that asks me where to buy a car gets pointed toward QEW Mazda!
