I am having a big issue at the moment with my trunk being stuck shut.. No matter what i have tried I cannot seem to get it to open. I have a 2005 Mazda 3 GT Sport and I have a a huge 120 pound sub box taking up most of the trunk.. if there is an easier way to get it open without having to take off my amplifier, cap, etc to get the box out I would appreciate it.

Well... what HAVE you tried already? No point in us suggesting things that you have already tried and don't work...... :)

I assume that because you have a Sport, you mean the hatch is stuck closed?

Yes the hatch would be stuck closed.. I do not have an option to use a key entry it would be all remote unlock. I have tried to pushing down on the trunk and locking the hatch assuming it did not get fully closed. When I use the remote to lock and unlock the car I hear the hatch mechanism still working. I believe something must be jammed. I am gunna go out now and check the fuse box just incase as well as attempt to get a better look on the inside of the hatch. ill take pics of there is anything awkward.

So I managed to get the trunk open.. after taking off the trim and having to wrestle with the crappy locking mechanism. If anyone would know how the locking mechanism and the opening mechanism go together could they let me know? because by the looks of Mazda's design they did a crappy job with the trunk opening system.
