Is it just me, or do the interior console/switch lights burn out waaaay too fast?

I have already had to replace the following;

-Cigarette lighter light
-Heated seat switch light
-Climate control backlight(A biatch to replace!!!)

If I took this to the dealer, they probably would've charged 1-2 hours labour and 50 bucks for the bulbs/switch.

Anyone else notice this?...Or have they just "made peace" with the fact that they're burning out.

Maybe the voltage regulator on the alternator is shot..........

I actually ended up finding some NeoWedge T5 - 12v LED replacement bulbs, that replace the stock bulbs(I think). I'm also gonna check my alternator.......

Yep, its very common. I had the vent selector burn out about 2.5 yrs ago. Actually, I reported this to Flippy so he would stock more of these bulbs.

Hrm - it's actually 10mm T4 Neowedge bulbs for the manual climate control - these arrived 2-3 weeks after i ordered them from the states. All this BS for tiny little bulbs.

Yup had the same problem with the heated switch drivers side(warranty), cigarette lighter out(out of warranty), no problems with the climate control. Yet! Lease ends in November. Hope I have no problems when I return the vehicle.

you should check the battery... a bad battery will cause the alternator to put out a high voltage and overdrive the bulbs, causing them to burn out quickly
