Has anyone recently installed either of these in a MZ3 with the factory Bose amp and sub - and if so, what do you like and what do you hate?
Good Bluetooth - bad BT
Good iPod interface
Ease of interface
Navigation (well, the Kenwoods have no competition since they use Garmin?)
steering wheel controls
etc
thanks

I have the Z110-bt and i love it, no complains what so ever. The nav compared to the Kenwoods is pretty good. The Z120-bt has the new software which i personally do not like but it is a nice unit. Best bang for the buck is the Z120-bt, Kenwoods tend to be a little pricey

did you install it with the stock Bose system, or different amp/sub/speakers than stock?

I'm waiting on the next generation systems... due to the fact that I need to save up for this lol but also I'm curious to see what they will come up with next... this year was only a "software" upgrade. So this leads me to believe next year should be something more along the lines of improved hardware (which it doesnt need but would be nice) plus tweeked/revamped software.

I'm running the 920bt and I love it. Won't lie, everyone that comes in for a radio to Fshop I make sure I show them this unit regardless of what they are looking for lol. But I really can't say one bad thing about the unit, super easy to use, and I love the ipod interface on the unit.
I picked this unit over the kenwood because of the nav also, just like the pioneer one a little better.
*don't have the bose system

I don't like the Kenwood DNX series. The roulette menu is neat but kinda of a cheesy gimmic that was done on the web years ago. It's played out. The menu is completely confusing with so much info and not the greatest layout. Plus they seem to love making boxes and grids to sort everything so it still looks pretty comparable to their previous stuff.
The new Pioneer is much better, better layout better thought out functions but honestly can't say I love the left side slide menu. They need to work on that and make it smoother and also hide it.
I actually like the interface on the AVH-P4200,3200,5200 better. Its simple, no gimmics with "Musicsphere" and "Pandora Link" Which doesnt even work in Canada. Your paying for these features which is "meh" to me.
Unfortunately its not perfect either. Not as sharp as the Z120bt, the 4200 doesnt include bluetooth and or nav, but can be purchased as add-ons which in the end will end up costing the same as buying the z120bt.
So I would recommend the Z120bt, Not the perfect unit I'd want but its the best out there.
(Sorry very judgmental on software)

well - the Amazon sale was too much for me to resist:
$899 - $200 for "lightning deal" = $699.
Amazon discount of 30% = $489
Pioneer rebate = $100
total price = $389
why am I suspicious this is a lemon?
