Hey guys,
Can anyone think of any reason a 2009 PJB wouldn't work in a 2008 car?
(2008.5 would be okay too... but it's easier to look for a 2009 than a 2008.5 as they show up as 2008s and then you have dig out the VIN to get the build date........)
(And no, I haven't blown my PJB!)
As I understand the 2009 model uses the same PJB as 2008. I think there shouldn’t be a problem. Recently, I looked at Automotive Repair Centre site, there were the same wiring diagrams for 2008 and 2009,I even, didn’t copy them. Now they have removed these files for 2009.
There are most important first four letters/digits in pjb’s name, it’s a transmission type code ,then 66730 is the same for all pjbs and last letter is for small modifications (DRL, safety switch etc.)

Hey Rick, there are only two PJB part numbers from 07 to 09 models with DRL. They are the same price.
BAN7-66-730G - with DRL, without rear trunk release
BAN7-66-730J - with DRL, with trunk release

Did someone say PJB? :(
I've got at least 3 of them sitting in storage.
The only one that works is one from a US model 2008 Mazdaspeed3. However, MoT couldn't get it to program on a CDN model citing the key/remote is different.
