A/C no longer turns on - electrical issue?

I have an 06 GT. Out of the blue the A/C wont turn on. Press the button and the light comes on but the usual vibration and cool air dosent kick in from the A/C. Im thinking a loose connection? how should I be diagnosing this without spending a fortune to find out it is something simple?

it could be you're low on R-134a. If the pressure in the system is too low, the A/C clutch won't engage.

in any case, you should take it to a shop that can pressure test the system and, if necessary, recharge the refrigerant.

Hmm that could very well be it... Ive only had the car for a couple months and have noticed that the A/C wasn't very cold... Chalked it up to what everyone is saying about the 3 not being very cool in general.

Ill try to get it in to get pressure tested. In the mean time any other ideas?

check to see if you have the small belt going to the compressor. that was my issue last summer, it was gone, not sure how but ya.
then id check to see if the compressor is engaging if the belt is turning.
