Where do you start a GI (gauging interest) thread?

As the title states, what section can I put a GI thread that I may want to turn into a FS thread? I have some things that I may want to sell if I snag a deal on something else.... (I know, vague... but trying to stay fair to the question!) But I want to know if there will be interest before I go through with the other!
Yes its car parts, and has something to do with an "F" and a "D"..... Some help Mods please!
