This is kind of close to Markham, Yonge & Steeles on Steeles where the licensing office is and the TD bank plaza. In the very back I don't know the name of it, but they have very good dim sum and a very good selection, and they have quite a few girls going around with the carts so you don't have to wait forever to get what you want.

Red Sign Place! At FMP!
I actually have no idea what it's called, but it has a red sign and is a couple stores down from diamond banquet hall.
But it's got a red sign and the food is good (I think the name starts with an 'N').

Don't think it was mentioned but I would recommend Chilli Secret for Dim Sum across from Time Square in Richmond Hill/Markham on Leslie just North of HW7. That is my go to place now days because its good, cheap and 10 minutes away. Looked up some reviews and they seem hit or miss but its clean, big, fresh and I tend to be quite happy every time I go. Dishes are 2 or 2.50 before a certain time. Its mostly made to order vs carts being rolled around but they do have those too earlier in the morning or afternoon. Key is to get there when it is not mad busy which tends to be earlier on the weekend. It helps speaking the language but I don`t speak it and still make out quite well :) I have introduced it to several people of different ages, ethnicities as well as coworkers and people visiting from out of town. They all agree its quite good compared to other places and continue going there today. If you do go and it sucks, its probably because its busy, not because it sucks regularly. Don't blame it on me though!

+1 on this location :)
They're one of the only places where you can order a bowl of braised beef noodles AND IT TASTES PRETTY GODDAM AWESOME.
There's also one on Warden Hwy7, the plaza with the NoFrills and Future Shop...there's a dimsum place there that's pretty good, only if you're willing to pay a steeper than normal price, fight for parking, and wait for spots.
But that's pretty much all dim sum places really...so the earlier the better :)

Yeah Chili secrets is my go to place as well even though my gf and her parents say the quality has fallen off, it is still one of the better places.
Maison du Japon went really downhill. Used to be my and my gf's spot 5 years ago.

Went to this place Casa Imperial Fine Chinese Cuisine at the corner of Warden and Steeles.

Not the cheapest but by far the best Dim Sum I've ever had and I've had a few as well.

Ambassador Chinese Cuisine at 7 & West Beaver Creek was our go to before and that was good as well.

Stay the F*&^ away from Golden Court Abalone Chinese Restaraunt!

Red sign place? That's Nak Won. That's KOREAN food.

Da Fu Seafood Restaurant at Steeles and Middlefield has good dim sum. You can get a membership card with them and have 10% off plus no charge on tea I believe.

Eh, potato tomato. It's all the same lol ;)
I do know I went there for dim sum a couple of times. Might have been the place next door but I'm almost 99% sure it was them.

Try Mi Hyang, it's a few units away from Nak Won. It's much better, especially the pork bone soup. It's 5.99 lunch special or 6.99 regular price.

I tried most of the Korean places at FMP, they are the best.

Perfect Chinese Restaurant is the cheapest dim sum so far. Open 24 hours and is like a $1.80 for small. And if you sit on the left side, you pay slight more than on the right hand side of dinning room.

That place is always so crowded.

Perfect is the worst chinese food ever.

The only reason why its been running for 20 years is....well....take some wild guesses....but horrid food.

In Markham, check out the new one at Warden and Gibson, just one light north of steeles. Forgot the name.

Grand Lake on Kennedy and hwy 7 is pretty good for price/quality.

If you want to impress, Casa Victoria/Imperial definitely some great stuff but pricey pricey.

Grand Duke on McCowan and 7 is pretty good, a bit pricey but not as pricey as Casa. Newer place.
