Anyone have this? The one they are giving away free as a promotion at Downsview?
I just got it, works fine, but the interface is balls and damn ugly... It works, it's english, have the maps, plays mp3s, dvds, mp4s, divx, data CDs, SD cards etc...
Wondering if anyone was able to change the firmware, hack it, etc..
Really disapointed with the audio controls on that and using SD Cards and Data CD/DVDs for my mp3s. It's just not as "pretty" as what I expected, mainly for my primary use which is playing MP3s in my car since i'm a huge music fan (and DJ by proffesion).
I want to be able to quickly access, play fine music. The problem is, the iterface for doing so using the MP3 player will only play from SD card and it has to be the one in the SDCard GPS slot, not the extra slot (the wince interface only see's that). It will play from the other slot, but it's just a nasty looking, not very user friendly sriectory structure which looks like my old 486 computer's CMOS/BIOS.
I was looking mainly for a much nicer, friendlier, cleaner interface and ease of use for the:
1) IPOD Control functionality (With IPOD interface and cord)
2) MP3 player functionality
3) Media in general
4) Still have my GPS unit work...
The iPod functionality is sweet, beable to control the iPod menus from the main screen, but looks blech! And it's soo bright (baby blue) that at night it lights up my entire interior.
Any input, advice or help would be greatly appreciated...
