Hi all... my apologies if I've chosen the wrong forum...
I have an issue with my 2008 GT... when opening the rear driver's side door it is catching and damaging the front driver's side door. This problem first occurred 3 months ago and was fixed under waranty.
It has since re-occurred, but this time I'm being told that the only way this could occur is if the front door had been dented (even slightly). I can tell you for a fact this is not the case, and I'm calling BS on the dealership / body shop. As far as I'm concerned the original issue was not fixed. The symptoms were treated but not the cause. I understand that a dented front door is the most probable culprit, but I'm curious if anyone else has seen this occur due to some other reason.
For what it's worth, I've been told that the hinges are all tight, but in my mind this is only one thing that should be checked. If something is slightly off spec or misaligned then tight hinges are irrelevant. I don't appreciate my concerns being dimissed by the dealership, as well as the implication that I'm lying about the door being dented. Any thoughts / advice are welcome. Thanks
