Hey quick question

I have a 2004 Mazda 3gt sport 2.3L engine
on the cap it says use 5W20...

i bought Motul 8100 Eco-nergy 5W30 synthetic

will it ruin my engine?
i asked the mazda dealer in Maple and the guy said yes cuz its thicker

But Nextmod said its ok.... and better proformence since i like to redline sometimes

and all i have done to the engine is a intake?

You will be fine..i only use 5w30 in my car...i never liked the idea of running such a thin oil like 5w20

There are MANY threads on this topic!!!! 5w30 synthetic is what i use, and many others on here.

so you got the same car and all you use is 5W30 and sorry guys i already blew 1 engine dont wanna screw this 1 also

I got 08 with a 2.0L

5w30 is a little thicker oil so it's actualy better then 5w20

8100 econergy is very good oil!!!!
