View Full Version : power lock issue
hey all im brand new and am having a problem with the mazda3 i picked up a month ago. the power locks worked fine, now when i click unlock it only unlocks the drivers door, and same with the inside switch on the drivers door, only unlocks the drivers lock. when i hit lock on either it locks all 4. been happening for 2 weeks, 2 days ago it unlockde all 4 doors with the remote twice, so im kind of confused on how it didnt work or 2 weeks then did and now not again lol. Thanks!!

Probably blown fuse. Unlock has two fuses: one for the drivers door and one for the rest of the doors. Fuses under the glovebox.
already checked they are fine. if the fuse was blown it wouldnt have mysteriously worked twice after 2 weeks of not working...

Maybe. If the fuse element is broken but wiggling around it may be intermitent.
theres gotta be a keyless entry module somewhere in the car right?. so i wonder if i swap one out with a new one if that might fix it. io heard this is a common problem with these cars

Well.... that's this is the first I have heard of this particular problem.
In any case... the keyless module sits under the headliner above the passenger's sunvisor. You can see it by pulling out the map lights.

Is the car still under warranty? Hit the unlock on the remote twice, hitting it once only opens the drivers door, hit the remote twice and it unlocks all the doors.
