thanks...I have more but those are the rest of the touristy stuff...and who needs those!

I don't don't which province really...we stayed a couple of days in Milan then packed the suitcases into the little convertible and did the Top Gear route into Switzerland, which was in fact the most memorable part of the trip believe it or not...but mountain life gets old fast!...or goes downhill fast...haha...anyway, going back thru Italy from Bormio to Verona was hairy...
One of the tunnels closed, so we got rerouted by the GPS to do the fastest route...it was all fun and games until it took us thru roads meant for say an ox-cart...or a narrow suv...if we rented a buick, we'd have been ****ed...mountain a foot to my left...trees a foot to her right, then the cliff...I'm not talking rally roads...these were mountain roads you don't see even if you looked up...if it was dark, I''d have parked it...and then of course, a suzuki suv comes around a blind corner...he squeezed into the rocks, I into between 2 trees and we went our merry ways...this went on for over 60 mins thru about 25km of "road"...
this is before it tuned into dirt and cobble only...wife got too scared to stick her arms up...

if I went without the wife, I'd have taken the F430 Scuderia or the 458...but the Califonia is the only we can take with the guide and a passenger...so she rode in the back, while I drove...

Switzerland has very nice roads, and EU drivers in general are more skillful and spatially aware...the mountain roads are filled with locals and enthusiasts, so ppl know how to get in and thru even narrow 2-way traffic...the odd tourist/caravan/road judge will clog some, but not often....

yes...eastern EU is on the dart board...

envy is a great motivational factor...every driver should experience this once in their life. =)

surprisingly no...like jeremy says, this isn't your ps3...you don't get a reset button...there are a lot of motorcycles and nice roadsters among cyclists...you gotta give props to the cyclists, cu they do it with less than 1hp, I guess without juice...lol...
we saw this TVR go up and down after we see him leave the same cafe we did in Stelvio...it's unreal...everyone knows they're there to do one thing, and they do everything they can to make the best of it for themselves and everyone...
the most amazing thing...2 ducati's with matching suits and helmets cams, being chased by a ****ing KTM Crossbow also with matching helmets and cams up the mountain road coming the other way...I got a chub...

just so that things would happen...as we left the duomo in milan, the ferrari parade began and we saw the procession leave...imagine, a fighter jet worth of auto-erotica culminating after your worship at the church...
furio...amongst ferrari's...

where are you in those pictures lol??? that would be your dream car garage!!! i'd be for sure jealous :P
Dude nice pics! I'm jealous... During my vacation in Portugal, I got to do some spirited driving on some nice mountain passes in a 1.5L turbo diesel as well. Nothing like those roads! Plus I was in a tiny Seat Ibiza. I've always loved the feeling of torquey, low hp diesel cars.

I was taking the pictures!...lol...if I had one, I don't know if I'd dare to drive it around other italian drivers...seriously, they're next level...they pass inside tunnels, with double white lines...I became a better driver just keeping up with them...

man...anything in EU is better...in that tiny country of italy, they run a 130km/h speed limit and ppl stay out of the left lane.
weird shit happens when you're on vacation and your senses are heightened...for example, on my visit to the Ferrari factory, you can't go in unless you own one or are invited...anyway, with me being neither, I walked into the shop and Alonso was on the TV, in the Ferrari store, completing the final lap of the Sigapore GP and winning...what are the ****ing odds?!

^^^ Haha that's awesome! Right place at the right time. I'm sure after he secured the victory, they were all so happy that they let you tour the factory anyway? :)
The speed limits in Europe are crazy. When I was picking up my eurowheels, I asked the guy if I could safely do 120km/h without worrying about the police... and he told me the speed limit is actually 120km/h on the hwy, but people cruise 130km/h min. "Sweet", I thought. Well as I was cruising around at 130, I found myself getting passed by just about everyone on the road. Needless to say, I buried the needle countless times on that trip.... and I still got passed lol. It was all fun and games until I pulled into the gas station...
Did you end up buying anything at the Ferrari shop?

the old factory is like a museum itself...and seriously, you see more in "Ultimate Factory" about the real factory...
the coolest ****ing thing tho is the Prancing Horse at the round-about near the new factory...it's like size of maybe 2 - 3 big clydesdale...I got a little steel replica of the horse for my brother.
