I have had my Mazda 3 for a little over a month. I had no issues the first couple of weeks but now when I turn on the fan, I can hear this faint ticking noise. The noise sometimes goes away when I turn the fan higher or when it's been running for a little while.
Also, my car is a manual drive. When the engine is cold, I've noticed that the rpm is quite high when I'm in first gear and the clutch is pressed down completely down. I'm questioning this because it's not really cold yet and my car is parked in a condo garage so I find it odd that I need to warm up the car at this time. I can't imagine how it's like in the winter.

Has anyone else experienced the same issues as myself?

I think the engine revving high at the beginning it normal. I live in a condo as well. I winter it takes a good 5 - 8 min for the rev to settle to warmed up speed.

The ticking noise is likely from a leaf that found it's way in the venting system. The cold start-up high rev is normal for modern cars.

Defly the ticking noise is a leaf. Happens to mine all the time.
