Need some serious help here. Bought a 2006 mazda 3 and had compressor problems 2 months after. changed the compressor and put in another. Same problem again. Decided to put a universal compressor and the same thing happened. each of the problems the bearings in the compressors started making noises and then got damaged. Any ideas on this. I think it could be the tensioner pulley

If you just unbolted the failed compressor and bolted in a new one, that's your problem. Before installing new compressor, the system must be evacuated of all gas and flushed to ensure no debris from the failed compressor are in the system, otherwise those shreds will destroy the new compressor.

also when refilling the system you must follow the guidlines of oil to freon for every X of freon you will need Y of oil

Like was said, the first blown compressor most likely shot debris into the a/c system, you do need to flush it out, this is usually done the first time as a precaution!

lack of oil, debris, and restriction are the main things that damage a compressor

on any modern car, a blown compressor will almost always require a condenser replacement... it cannot be flushed out... the tubes are too small for you to effectively reverse flush the junk out

the drier/accumulator also must be replaced as it will be filled with crap also
finally, if the expansion valve is not replaced it may cause high head pressures and the system will never cool

A/C systems are simple yet complex, this is not for the amateurs/DIYers... this needs to be left to certified professionals!
