e- I take that back... I've been searching around for a credible source saying that he did die but I can't find anything. So I guess the 'he died' stuff is just rumours.

Perhaps he hated his life and missing the elevator by driving a stupid motorized chair was just the last thing to push him off the edge (no pun intended) and just had a suicidal tendency... poor fella. Hope the people in the elevator weren't hurt.
