Personally I think seniors past age 70 should be put out to pasture. They are not only a drain on society, they are also a danger as witnessed here. If not culling them, at the very least keep them indoors where they cannot harm others and stop giving the money for food and drugs so they can die peacefully in the comfort of their own home. "

This incident should only prove two things, drive-tests should involve collision avoidance situations and reaction to real-life situations and the requirement for the elderly (65+) to have a medical assessment submitted and a retest to evaluate their ability to react and deal with situations like these and those on the roads.
