I bought an HID Hid from custom647 this past summer (super-awesome install by John), however in September my passangers side fog ballist failed - leaving me with one light on during the day (since my fogs are now my DRLs). I contacted John via PM at the end of September to determine to process for getting a new ballast, however other than one message from him nearly three weeks ago asking if it was the bulb or ballast, I haven't heard anything else since.
After doing some digging I understand that custom647 is no longer a sponsor here, however I'm getting a bit concerned with winter on our doorstep - I was counting on having all lights working. I understand that ballasts can be tempremental and fail, however other than the TM3 boards I have no contact info for John which makes getting ahold of him seemingly impossible. I sent an email to the "contact us" email address on custom647.com as well, but again - I haven't heard anything back other than an email several weeks ago asking if it was the bulb or ballast.
Does anyone happen to know how I might go about reaching him? It's been nearly a month now and I really need to get this fixed.
Thanks.

Hi James, 2 emails were sent on 8th, and yesterday, regarding your issue.
Please check your mail and get back to me.
John
*Edit - Attaching Email records to clarify.
Hi james, I had responded to you as below before, I believe the msg didn’t get delivered for some reason, if you have'nt received.
As I have mentioned below, what we could do for you is sending your ballast out for RMA,
But I still believe it could be the connection, because I had the very same problem on my fogs, too. (flickering and not turning on )
Anyways, im usually within scarborough area most of the time, itd be easy for us to meet up to check and sort things out.
Let me know,
John

Hi James, the replacement warranty has expired already, the only thing we could do is sending it out for manufacturer's warranty at buyer's expense, as stated below in PMs.
Please give me a follow up for arranging a meet and testing the ballast, we will test it on my car, which is running the very same kind of HID.
Though I would suggest you switching the sides of ballast to make sure, if the problem of fog still persists on the same side with the ballasts switched, it definitely would be the bulb or connector.

Hi again John,
I took a look at the wiring, and everything seems to me like it's connected ok. Based on the fact that the bulb works on the odd occassion it leads me to believe it's the ballast. That being the case, how do I go about getting a new ballast and getting it installed?
Appreciate the response,
James

Hi james, sorry for the late response, how does the problem occur, do u still hear the buzzing noise when the light's off?
The 30 days direct replacement warranty for either the bulb or the ballast is expired, and we do not give warranty for the bulbs after that,
but 1 year manufacturer warranty still remains on your ballasts, with the shipping cost is on buyer's side, FYI.
We have paused sponsoring TM3 for during the 2010 winter time, but of course we will stick with our previous customers to cover whatever we could,
would you mind figuring out if it's the bulb of the ballast first? Id recommend u jiggle the wire coming out from the bulb/ballast to see if its the lose connection.
Let me know,
thanks
John

Hi Leo,
I’m following up on an email I sent to you a few weeks ago, but didn’t receive a response. I purchased a Digital Slim HID 6,000K kit from you guys for my 2007 Mazda 3 GT Sedan (headlights, and fogs). Everything worked great until about a month ago when my passengers side fog light went out. It works on occasion, but 90% of the time it doesn’t work. This makes me think it is most definitely the ballast, as the wiring is all fine. I was speaking with John on the TM3 boards about this as well a couple weeks back, and he’d mentioned that there’s a 1 year manufacturing warranty on the ballasts. I was wondering how I would go about getting the replacement? I haven’t heard back from John in the last 3 weeks, and as winter is fast approaching I’d like to get this all taken care of ASAP. If there is another more convenient way for me to get a hold of you guys besides emails (cell phone etc) please let me know as soon as you can.
Thanks and watching for your response.
James
