View Full Version : Hit and run
Some rotten dipshit did a number on my right rear door and took off. Door needs replaced so no question whoever hit the car knew that they hit it.
Car is only 3 months old so I am right pissed.
Have no photos since it is already at the body shop, I am so anal about my car I didn't want to drive it looking hammered up. Apart from all the hassle I am out my collision deductable of 500 bucks.

I was also a recent victim of that too..
There's now a big dent in my front driver side fender... looks like someone backed into or... kicked it or something. No paint damage, but I'd need it pulled.
Yeah asswipes that slink off after hitting a car should be gelded.

Paint match shouldn't be an issue since the car is relatively new (the paint hasn't faded yet). Maybe you should park far away in parking lots where few cars go?

Oh believe me I have tried that too but you will always get some dick that will park right on top of you just for the hell of it. Actually fading has little to do with a paint match, the way metallic particles lay when they go on can change the colour.

Just thought I would add this picture of the repair, was just able to take one picture before my camera died. Realise I was remiss to add photos of the repair. anyway the rear door was replaced and the paint job is superb.

I know how you feel, both my rear doors on driver and passenger sides have small dents. Probably from little kids whipping open their door. People gotta start having respect for others belongings.

Small dents can often be repaired by a Dentless Paint Repair guy. I've used them and amazed what they can do in such a short time with amazaing results without the need for paint and colour matching.

I used Hunt Club Collision on Leitrim Road here in Ottawa, I have used them before and I highly recommend their work.
I am pretty particular about getting quality work and if they can satisfy me they can satisfy anyone.

Trust me, people don't give two poops. I see many people who just open their doors and are leaned in doing something and the door is left hanging, and although it doesn't hit the car beside it, it just makes me feel angry at how others obviously don't care at all for protecting their own and other peoples things.
And to the OP, I'm sorry to hear this. I've seen a girl backing out in her suv at school (I was waiting for her spot so I saw the whole thing) and she backed right into a parked car, frantically looks about and sees me, doesn't stop to look and just drives off. People these days...

I would have memorized her license plate and left a note on the persons windshield along with description of vechicle, colour, gender, time and plate. If you can wait do it otherwise write your email address so he/she can contact you afterwords and be a witness to the whole mess. People shouldn't just get away with things like this!

Ya I realized later on I should of done it, but I hope the fact that she saw me witnessing the whole situation somehow gave her a slight scare so that hopefully she'll be less reckless in the future. Interesting thing was she drove a MB ML500 and hit a pretty old Ford, just saying wouldn't you at least be more careful knowing your car is damn expensive?! Guess some rich people just don't care...

Yeah, people these days. We went to BTrust Supermarket at Creditview (Mississauga) today and when we came back to the car, I noticed my rear bumper are all scratched up. Looks like someone backed-up and hit my bumper, no crack but deep scratches down to the plastic.

This is one of the reason I am scared to get an expensive car, people just don't give a damm about anything. Oh it's just a car. Ok let me stick my foot in your side panel, see how you like it. I aways park far as hell from every one else, and when I come back, there is a mutha beside me and 30 other free parking spaces. I guess they thought I would like company. But so far, knock on wood, no dents.

Rich girl driving mommy or daddy's car. She's going to keep banging that thing into other people until she gets caught. You seeing it didn't scare her that much. I know the type my sister's like that except we aren't that rich. The camry my parents got as a "family" car is hers now because after she driven it for a while to work no one wanted to drive it anymore. It gets new scratch and dings every few months. Her replie's always pillar at parking lot. Yeah right :P She came back once in my bro's explorer with a big dent in the steel front bumper and said "no damage to the other car". There are people like that and in my case nothing you say can change their mind. They just don't know how to be scared.
So next time just photograph their license plate and leave a note. People like that needs to be taught a lesson.
Yeah Laksman91 extra 0 meant $1850.00 can't edit.

Yeah but, because it is a hit and run it will cost you your deductible, but it will not cause your premiums to go up.
