Do you want to learn how to DJ with turntables? Or do you just want to plug in a laptop and mess around?
If you want to learn with tables, then purchase either Serato or Traktor Scratch. I personally use Traktor and I believe it's much better than Serato. There's so much you can do with it. You need to purchase them because they come with all the necessary hardware to hook up to your tables.
If you just want the software for mixing with and only with a laptop then I believe you can just download the software from their sites.

Look into Virtual DJ. It's pretty easy to use, and no turntables required, although it's really hard using a mouse to scratch.

I use FruityLoops.... it's more for recording, and complicated to learn. But it can do anything.

Check out some usb or firewire interfaces for sale at various music stores. Most of them come with bundled software like cubase/nuendo and are quite powerful.

Just a note, you'll have to do some research on those before you buy. A lot of them are crap. Be looking to spend upwards of $150 if you go that route.

Its perfectly fine, people gotta stop being so anal about piracy. It saves you money for one, and the company still makes millions anyway =D.

If you're rich then you should have no problem purchasing software and supporting the developer.
