2004 Hatch - the hatch does not open

Greetings forum,

Short story:

During a 5700km drive - my centralized lock decided to stop working (it does it from time to time - but then it starts working again) when it stops working I can open only the drivers door with the key (that means the hatch cannot be open)

I had to open the hatch to get the stuff out of the trunk - so I jump in the back - open the small plastic cap - used the emergengy hatch release to open it and I managed somehow to yank the release cable out of the release mecanism.

I said no biggy - when I get home I can take off all the plastic covers and attached the cable black (beacause I know how to take all the plastics down)

When I got home - and tryed to fix it - I was not able to open the hatch again - the emergency release didn't work - I spent allot of time - read again the manual - what to push, what to do - It seems that now even the emergency release doesn't open the hatch anymore :flaming :(

I have manage to open the trunck with the emergency release twice - with not allot of problems - now I can't.

Where to go to fix it?
I don't want to pay dealership repair - only if it's a good price.
Anyone had this problem before?
Any tips?

is it just the drivers door? or all of the locks,.... I would check the remote battery..

The remote doesn't work for an year now.

I use the key to open the door.

This is the trunk hatch that is not opening anymore.

Update!

Went to M&D Executive Auto.
They manage to open the hatch - the locking mechanism is busted.
They gave me a quote for replacement - I will go back for the fix.
