Dana White to make a big announcement Thursday

Let the specualting begin. The UFC sent out a press release this afternoon saying that Dana White will make a big announcement Thursday.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is holding a media conference call in which UFC President Dana White will make a major announcement. The conference call will take place Thursday, October 28th starting at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET.

What will it be? Will we see Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27? Did the UFC get a network TV deal? Has Dana White signed Fedor Emelianenko? Are they releasing Tito Ortiz? Maybe Rampage Jackson and Randy Couture are going to make buddy cop movie together. Tune in Thursday to find out.

well it may cost $50-$200 for basic seats but good luck getting them at that price.

and the big news is...


WEC, UFC to Merge in 2011

World Extreme Cagefighting is merging with its sister organization the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Dana White exclusively confirmed that the merger will take place in January 2011. In addition, White said that four UFC events will air live on Versus in 2011.

The final two WEC cards will air on the cable network on Nov. 11 and Dec. 16, which means that starting next year, the UFC will absorb WEC's 135, 145 and 155 weight classes.
