Install Aftermarket Radio with the OEM radio

Is there a way to hook up an aftermarket radio (Lets say Pioneer AVIC x920bt) and then run some wires in the glove box and have the OEM radio connected at the same time?
Maybe this way I can control my time, trip stuff?

It is definitely possible, I have seen several websites where people have done it. I will post some links in a little while.

You might have to run it on a switch where there is two outputs into one output which would be your speakers.
