This may be a stupid question, but, is it possible to swap the yellow turning signals on both front and back ligths for green LED one's? Or somehow change them and still keep the stock lights?...Any Thoughts?

16. The following persons may carry on or in his or her vehicle and operate a lamp that produces intermittent flashes of green light:

Is it illegal to change the colour period? Or can it just not be green?

There are only certain colors you are aloud to have....especially if they are flashing colors

I can't recall anything specifically stating that turn signals must be amber coloured, only that they have to "be visible and understandable during day-time and night-time from the front and from the rear of the vehicle for a distance of 30 metres" (HTA 142/6).
That said, most non-amber colours tend to be restricted:
- Flashing red lights anywhere: HTA 62(14)
- Front-facing red lights: HTA 62(15)
- Flashing green lights anywhere: HTA 62(16)
- Flashing blue lights anywhere: HTA 62(32)
Of the remaining options:
- Pink will probably get you a ticket anyway since it's basically red.
- Purple would probably also get you a ticket since it's close to either red or blue.
- Yellow/Orange/Amber is obviously O.K.
- White is probably okay for the front (can't find it explicitly forbidden), but is probably not okay on the rear, due to reversing lamps

Forgot an important one:
- Front facing blue lights: HTA 62(14.1)
Also, licence plate lamps must only be white, as per HTA 62(19).

I might have read somewhere that turn signals in the front must be in amber.

I am pretty sure alot of cars have flashing red light at the rear for turn signals....

Indeed, it seems to have become recent convention to make front signals amber and rear turn signals red, so that in poor visibility you can distinguish whether the turning vehicle is moving in the same or opposite direction as yourself.
That said, I couldn't find any section explicitly allowing red (rear) turn signals... So I suppose it's a de facto standard until it gets added to the HTA.

I think you can paint your arm green. :chuckle
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90h08_e.htm
manually
(a) by means of the hand and arm extended downward beyond the left side of the vehicle; or
signalling device
(b) by means of a stop lamp or lamps on the rear of the vehicle which shall emit a red or amber light and which shall be actuated upon application of the service or foot brake and which may or may not be incorporated with one or more rear lamps. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 142 (8).

I think that manufacturers only make some cars rear turn signals red as a matter of a) convenience and b) styling.
I don't mind so much when someone is braking and turning using two different lights (like my MZ3) but I hate the preferred GM way of using the stop light as a turn signal as well.... braking, not braking, braking, not braking...

you can get away with the white turning signals in front or rear.

20 things at a dollar store sounds more like a waste of money to me. $20 mod is as cheap as it gets, there are many more usless mods that cost much more.

i suppose so. but why not save that 20 towards something else.

Oh god i hate that, esp when the center brake light is out
I wish it was law to have the turn signals orange on every car. Would make it a lot easier to determine wtf **** someone wants. White blinkers are again a bitch to deal with, i'v seen people with the HID lights, you can't even see it cause that shit is too bright.
On this kind of thing **** looks, saftey for me will win out with the color

The turn signals on my 2010 GS Sport are red (it's the brake light that flashes - kind of ghetto). I wish they were yellow like the 2010 GT trim levels!

U can't get 20 things for 20 dollars at dollar store.... firstly there is taxes, secondly nothing is for a dollar at dollar store nowadays, more like 1.50 or 1.99 lol

I'm running white in the front and red at the back, HTA states that front turn signals must be yellow or white, and rear must be yellow or red. Any other colour and your asking for unwanted attention.

There needs to be some kind of standard that each light can only be this colour and no car manufacturer can deviate it no matter the style.

I'm fairly certain it's illegal to have any lights on the front of the car that are red.
I suppose you could do bright orange, that might look neat.

really it depends on the car, on the 3 id say leave them amber. but some other cars the amber looks tacky.
