Hi! I have a deal on 4 Firestone Winter Force winter tires for $615 after taxes including installation. Is this a good deal? Since I'm an employee, apparently, I'm getting 50% off.

Probably a 205/55/16
If they priced you Firestone Winterforce in a 205/55/16, its a good price. After taxes, and OTS, our TM3 price is $636. So your getting a good price, but nothing close to 50% off :) Most places claim to give employees a great deal, but dont. In fact, we do so many Active Green and Ross employees its funny (not sure where you work though).

Floodgatez i think used them... he recently sold them tho.
if you think it's a good deal, go for it.. i mean.. they will be better then summer tires.. imo tho.. any winter tire should be better then a summer tire.

You got it... The Winterforce is actually a very solid tire. I dont like most of Firestone's lineup, but this is one of the tires I do :)

I heard its a rip off since the Winterforces are cheap tires and at $615 with 50% off, my friend told me it is =[ and said that I should get Blizzaks instead =/
Thats the thing, I dont know if its a good deal or not =[

if you do little driving or short commute then you will be fine with them butthey have a very open block tread so more road noise. co-worker has them for in city commute but says they are louder than stock at higher speeds. Dont cheap outget best tire you can afford as you will have to live with them foe couple years.

Blizzaks are a better tire, but keep in mind, they are only good for roughly 50% of their tread life due to the dual compound. They are also much more expensive.
$615 out the door for a set of winter tires is a good price. If they claim they are a $1230 set of tires, then run away :)

That's the price you'd be getting as a Tm3 member taxes and everything, is the price your work giving you all inclusive?

i agree, I'm a Firestone hater.. but, that's just my preference.. I had a non winter set on my first car I bought, and was replacing them after 50K... but again, that was like 6 years ago and they were non-winters...
I find it hard to believe that any set 4 winter tires are 1300 bucks.. esp those tires
Also, check this out http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Winterforce&partnum=155SR6FWF&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes
400 bucks US...

$567.72 for the 205/55/16 shipped to your door after all taxes and fees. Now you have to find someone to install them.... $60-80 there, and your loosing money over buying local. Much easier to shop with me :)

50 % discount off the list price on all available Bridgestone, Firestone winter tires
48% discount on Bridgestone and Firestone all-season tires
^ thats what it says =/
So I'm guessing I'm not really getting it 50% off then. I wanted to know what the price is for Winterforces without any discount.

Try to go to the website and see if they list an MSRP price for their various sizes, that's probably what they're giving you 50% off of

Ahhhh.... yes! They are giving you 50% off MSRP. Too bad no one sells at MSRP :)

No i know, I was simply just stating that to buy these tires new, and just the tires wouldn't be much more then 400-600 bucks.. plus install, still only hits at max 700 bucks... her price is just over 600 bucks installed.. unless that includes RIMs I can't see it actually being a 50% discount..
either way, if you had a price range in mind, and this falls into it, not a bad tire to put on your ride
