Hi Folks,

Just a heads-up if you have a G27 wheel from logitech. Check this thread on their forms http://forums.logitech.com/t5/PC-Gaming/G27-wheel-wont-stay-in-allignment/td-p/406468 Seems there is a common problem with the alignment. So if you notice anything with yours give them a shout.

My guess is that this problem is the reason for the lack of stock everywhere. I bet they recalled stock from the channel to fix this.

I've been trying to complete the world classic and the euro classic races in the beginner series but I can't seem to track down a car that meets the entry requirements in the Used Car lot!

I really wish I could play this game in arcade mode and have all of the cars and tracks available. I have never enjoyed RPGs and this is what GT Life is and I'm slowing losing my interest.

yep. what u do is, create ur master accout in hk ( so it doesnt ask for credit card as i was told ) , then create a sub account like 20xx , then make your birthday the present day, then login and u get a car, if u get a car that u want , send it to ur self, then delete game save and keep doing it lol. people are making millions of this.

its ok. I tried it out on my friends 3dtv (evo x in monaco), but its nothing to write home about. The sense of depth is nice in the cockpit view. In particular the rear view mirror and side mirrors were the first things i noticed. But the way gt5 is setup, every time you want to switch to 3d or back, you have go to settings and change it which can get annoying after a while (i.e. playing in 3d for awhile gets tiring) especially with the slow ass menus.

I have to say the update sure made the game load faster, and not only is it faster they removed the animation once you finish and you go straight back to when you start a race. Thats great for people like me that grind for money. Also Seasonal races are a nice touch, managed 4 Silvers, 1 gold (GT-R race lol). However the experience and Gold is worth the try, and even though there isn't a reward for all gold, i won't be getting all gold lol.

It makes gt all stars a lot less frustrating/nerve racking because the minolta tuned can stay ahead of the 787b/bentley speed with a decent, albeit small lead (helps if you make a mistake or slow down).

b spec is so frustrating. i gave up after one race at sunday cup because my driver kept trying to mow the lawn for the entire race lol. I wish they would make it available on the gt website somehow so i dont have to sit in front of my tv and babysit the driver.

i guess it really depends on the type of the driver you pick initially , my driver is pretty good all around, usually dont need to give him any instruction and still win the first place, but like roconne said, except a few of them.

I'm doing the turbo challenge in expert series, right now with the increased reward 50k each round, driving the zonda r about 3:00 for each round , anyone got better suggestion?

if you are a high enough level, the best is in the American Series on Indy. Races can be finished in around 4 mins or less and it will net you >100k Cr.

BTW, new seasonal events went up last night.

You can do the "GT All-Stars" and "like the wind" in the Mazda Furai. Of course you get the Furai from B spec (but it's early on) so most people don't have it. It's down on power but light, so it handles well. Biggest thing I found is needing to tweek downforce and gearing to make sure your getting the speed for the ovals. Last lap invovles passing last corner and then some pretty serious blocking...lol!

Best of All - your using a Mazda!

I just actually beat that race yesterday with my Countach LP400. I actually quite enjoy how much that car loves to slide around and I use it to my advantage around every corner.

Only at Level 27 A-Spec and Level 12 B-Spec...doing some grinding through the B-Spec races now to pick up a few of the other good gift cars. Endurance races in A-Spec are easy with the right car but so god damn time consuming :(

Special events, seasonal events, endurance races, etc. There are two races in seasonal events now that give you 1 million Cr. for coming in 1st place.
I haven't really gone on any big spending sprees either. Only been buying cars/parts I actually need.

I let my b spec driver do the dream car championship at the end of extreme level. Its about 6 or 7 races, each time you win a race you get around 110K and in the end you get around 450K for winning the championship in gold, so in total you get about a bit over 1 Mil. I just let the b spec driver drive the RM ZR1, and he wins every time, don't need to baby sit either, so I do what ever i want.. or sleep lol

all of the races in the extreme series are too damn hard. im at lvl 24, and you need 9 million credits to buy the formula 1 race car from the online dealership. lol

I know I have...I'm at A-Spec 24 but am still on the 2nd level of A-Spec races (i forgot what the proper name is) and haven't touched any of the Special Events above beginner.

Just got to level 30 in both A and B spec! w00t now to finish these ridiculous x1 special events, have had a few go's at it but it's god damn hard.

Toyota 7 you win in b-spec in like the wind to do the historic race.
And yes, buy the formula gran turismo from the online dealership...they vary in price and change with each seasonal update. I think I can snag a second one for about 5 million right now. Got 13+ million in the bank and a shitton of cars so not overly concerned lol

5mills not that high lol...just do the special events, which are unrestricted (which is dumb) and you can earn the money in no time. I did the events and managed to increase my Cr to 17mill as of right now and i also have 2 Formulas, and i only play weekends lol.

Hey just a quick note I know some people maybe not on here have been waiting or looking for the Team Oreca Viper #91 for the American Championship which is impossible to get because the UCD is completely random. I bought a Corvette ZR1 for the seasonal even update yesterday did the racing mod and then went and got all the tuning upgrades which when I was finished 900hp @ 1100kg.

Yea, but its maxed out with all upgrades. You don't have to play the individual races, just the championship itself. Once you complete (and win) the championship, those individual races will show completed with your ranking.

It was until I made the stupid mistake of adding sway bars. The damn car doesn't even turn properly anymore. I haven't played with the settings but I'm going to change up the braking to allow for some over-steer and see if that works. lol

Mine is somewhere around there. The exhaust for example, I purchased the Titanium one worth 10,000 credits simply because it added the most ponies. I never bothered to upgrade as time went on.

I just bought the most expensive mod that added the most power. :D

Its easy to get the cars hp to rise... someone suggested the oil change... and its true.. the more you drive the car the more power your losing.. if you go into the GT auto menu... and do an engine rebuild.. you'll see the HP jump drastically.... My ZR-1 race corvette was sitting at 805 hp which was fast.. just seemed wrong was playing with it in the GT auto shop and the engine rebuild was like 250,000 i did it cuz I have way to many credits.... and boom 907 hp!!!!! Im still stuck on that stupid classic race in expert.... I dont have the toyota 7 yet.... and I dont have anything that can hang in with the other cars in that race!!

yes sir that is correct rebuilding the engine gives you back lost hp while the cars been driven.... if you check your car after a few reaces you'll notice that the car tends to drop in hp if its used of course.... if its brand new as it gets broken in u gain hp.... for a bit then it starts to drop.

You can do the Vettel challenge when you reach level 30 in A-Spec. When you reach level 30 in A-Spec the X2010 can be bought in the show room under the Gran Turismo cars for $20,000,000, but they cannot be bought until you reach level 40 in A or B spec. You also can win one when you reach level 35 in B-spec.

^ I've got the Logitech Driving Force GT (its one of the two official wheels). I like it. They can sometimes be hard to find.

The other popular ones are the Logitech G25/G27 and the Fanatec line of wheels. The only drawback to these are that they are not officially supported by the game.

The last, and most expensive option, is the Thrustmaster T500 RS...it is the new (and other) official GT wheel...but at $600 its price is its limiting factor.

has anyone tried the "Game Stop" wheels? Looks like they are very inexpensive.

I'm not a fan of these "official" wheels. I prefer the "universal" wheel - Not just because of the price, but I get bored of stuff quickly PLUS I always worry if it will be compatible with "the next game".

I know what you mean. Even a $59.99 is pricey when you lose interest in it a couple weeks and you don't want to sell/trade it in in case you want to resume play one day..

Sadly, I've yet to play online..I've completed B and A licenses only and have done those races. My flaw is that I'm too much of a methodical gamer.. I always need to do the licenses first and then race.. Same with those special events.. And then.. BAM, loss of interest..

Just picked up Crysis 2 today.. Looks lit GT is gonna be on the shelf for a while *sigh*
