No Mazda3's. Not even a speed. Just RX7 and RX8 so far. Miata/MX5 is in it too.. Game is fun.

Biggest con: Slow load times, cars load a bit slowly for my liking, not all the latest cars, cant see interior view when driving on some cars, collision is not as accurate as it should be, no clutch feature (but the steering wheel will fix that)
pros: graphic are great, simulation is pretty good, 69 camaro z28 (THATS FOR U JOE!) lol

overall good game. :) lots to learn, just starting my gt career.

I'm sure if enough people bitch about it, they will change it through update just like the prologue. I remember if you hit a car you slow down because of penalty. Then later on they took that out.

Just picked it up and got home and played some arcade races with the wheel.
My impression on the wheel is that it sucks.
It's ok for automatic car as you use the back shifters as gas and brake. OTOH, for manual cars it is practically unplayable. If you use the back two shifters as gas/brake then you would have to use the front button on the wheel to shift gears and vice versa. Does not even come with pedals that's the problem.

I knew I shouldnt open it, damn. Want to sell this damn wheel. Anyone wanna grab it from me?


Buy the game from BestBuy.ca with your Rewardzone membership ID for in-store pickup and get $10 worth of points added to your account. Then, take the unopened game you just bought from Best Buy and the wheel (back in it's box with all packaging, manual, etc) and return them to Futureshop.


No one is going to want this crap wheel. I don't know why anyone would have went for this deal. The Best Buy one is much better, since you get $10 worth of reward points. Good luck selling it for more than $10...

when u get a brand new car, prize or bought from dealership, go do an oil change right away, extra 10 - 20 hp right away just like that, only works on brand new car

those damage models are only for the premium cars, the 800+ standard cars dont have that damage model :-/

I just quickly skimmed through the thread so i hope im not double posting, but if your looking for the mazda 3 in the game, first time i checked used cars i spotted a 03' black axela. So you'll find it there. It kind of odd how you can only get certain cars used unless I'm missing something? Seems weird to have 200 cars in the dealership and 800 you have to snipe out of a 20 used car list. My friend said he thought he saw a 2010 3 in the intro as well. but I'm thinking he probably just saw a 2010 mazda 6. All in all though I'm not sure if I'm liking it yet. maybe it will grow on me. cars in it are absolutely beautiful in it. I took a picture of my 05 Mitsu evo and i was amazed how real it looked when i was done.

As a beginner what are the typical starting points? I've started going through the license phase, I've bought my first car, was awarded a kart and had two cars in my garage courtesy of my pre-order from Gamestop (a McLaren F1 and a Joey Logano NASCAR).

Am I going in the right direction??

Also...I'm using the controller to play and use the right analog stick for my throttle & brake but I keep turning on my windshield wipers by accidentally pressing R3...can this be turned off?

You can edit the controller layout from the main options screen. I don't have a wheel either, so I setup the controller to reflect the default button layout in Forza 3. Which means, I use the trigger (R2/L2) for gas and brake, R1/L2 for up/down shift, mapped the right stick to look left/right, etc. You can map the wipers to the d-pad. (and lights too).


So, one thing that's been nagging me -- I thought GT5 was supposed to have damage physics? This is one area in particular where Forza 3 wins in my books. When I "accidentally" ram into a car in front of me, in GT5 all I get is a wonky clunk and instant deceleration. In Forza 3, bumper parts go flying and both cars tend to spin out of control -- far more realistically.

my first car was the Nissan Silva(s15) for 17k. n/a inline 4. its meh. im rocken the rx7 FD right now at level 7.5.
honestly im a little dissapointed in this game. the physis of the car are real in some ways but soo fake in others(trying to correct a over steer = u in the wall). the tuning sucks. no motor swaps, when i add a intake to a car with turbos i expect to hear some PSSh, interior view is limited to dealer only cars, and the inerior veiw fails the cams to high, the a.i runs on rails and if its a straigh they will plow right through u... i can keep going too.
5 years to make this game flawless and it is no better than forza3, imo. they cut alot of corners in this game.
biggest fail of the game is the 10k exhaust. lol.

IMHO Forza 3 is actually a better game. And more fun overall. But I'm only Lvl 7-8 whereas I've got countless hours invested in Forza. Totally agree with your points on physics and tuning. No ability to upgrade brakes? wtf.

Anyone got any suggestions how to tune this car in terms of handling? Already got the height adjustable suspension and hard sports tires, should I invest in the softer tires?

my first car was the Nissan Silva(s15) for 17k. n/a inline 4. its meh. im rocken the rx7 FD right now at level 7.5.
honestly im a little dissapointed in this game. the physis of the car are real in some ways but soo fake in others(trying to correct a over steer = u in the wall). the tuning sucks. no motor swaps, when i add a intake to a car with turbos i expect to hear some PSSh, interior view is limited to dealer only cars, and the inerior veiw fails the cams to high, the a.i runs on rails and if its a straigh they will plow right through u... i can keep going too.
5 years to make this game flawless and it is no better than forza3, imo. they cut alot of corners in this game.
biggest fail of the game is the 10k exhaust. lol.

i also find that the showcase of the car is too basic..in forza 3 the game would go to a track and show different angles of the car. The photo travel option is complete garbage..no real time environment..just preset settings and you can't even have the car moving it has to be at a standstill...wtf? third of all..$2k to paint a car? forza you just painted it for free..maaaannnn

I've checked out the car list, and the don't even have the latest Audit RS4. Also, I can understand if they don't have the newest GTi just released, but they don't even have the gen before that! Seriously? No F50 or F360 either. The 2010 Mustang is supposed to be amazing, I would have loved to try it.

If u see a G4, buy itttttt, it's definitely worth the 40k
tuned it to 198 hp / 213 ft-lb.. only weight 454 kg, its like a go kart, u can easily beat all the classic and euro race with that little thing.

Also the most fun race to date imo has been the amg driving school's beginner challenges with 300 SL. Especially the one where you have to pass all the other mercedes at nurburgring. You guys should try it out, its easy, fast and fun.

The Lotus one wasn't too bad (once you figure out how to handle the car), but the VW Bus took awhile. The 3rd Top Gear challenge is a joke though. Easy gold. I got first on the VW bus...however the second challenge with the lotus is due to the fact it has Comfort Hard tires on, which makes it harder to control. My best with the lotus was third, and stupid AI want you to DQ so badly.

My two cents:

I have both. I wouldn't go out and dump $300-$350 on a PS3 just for GT5. UNLESS you need a bluray player. If you see the earlier posts, you know that ssmoked and I agree with the critics and rank Forza 3 as a slightly better game overall. Both games have their pros and cons. GT5 does some things better than Forza 3, and vice versa. Overall, in terms of sheer fun factor... I've got to give it to Forza 3. But in terms of realism, GT5 is creeping up there.

That being said, I haven't turned my 360 on once since I got GT5. In fact, I haven't played anything else. So there's something to be said for its addictiveness. Especially once you start getting into the fast cars, like the Scuderia, and get further into the challenges. Some of which will make you throw the controller across the room (e.g. Top Gear elise on buttery tires).

See if you can convince a friend to let you play GT5 for a couple hours straight...

But in short, no, this games isn't worth $350 over Forza 3.

Don't think there is a global setting, but press Up on the D-Pad at the start of the race and it will turn it off.

Kazunori Yamauchi has been fielding questions from fans on Twitter over the past few hours. The tweets (http://twitter.com/#%21/Kaz_Yamauchi) are in Japanese, but with a little help from Google and medhi_san (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24659716&postcount=16120), we can get a pretty good idea of what he’s talking about. Here’s the highlights:


Flexible camera angles and “dynamic and wide-area lighting needs” are to blame for the sometimes blocky shadows. Yamauchi admits they are a problem and wants to improve them.
Yamauchi appears to consider the possibility of removing the in-game HUD (heads-up-display features) at some point in the future.
To unlock the Red Bull X1 (http://www.gtplanet.net/tag/red-bull-x1/), you’ll need to complete the “Sebastian Vettel Challenge”, which appears at Level 30.
Online “lounge” functionality and other features will be added “one by one”.
Polyphony Digital continues to work on fully supporting the Logitech G25 and G27, though Yamauchi admits he would like a “new steering device soon”…
Mechanical damage options will be implemented in a new update for GT5 coming “early December”.
As you may know, many players noticed that GT5’s face-tracking functionality only worked in Arcade mode. According to Yamauchi, it’s not available in GT mode due to memory issues with the PS3.
In-game rewards (such as the monetary prize in GT5 Prologue) for your performance in online events is something Polyphony Digital is considering, and may be implemented in a future update.
Gran Turismo 5’s official, 2-disc sound-track will be released soon.
Yamauchi wanted to implement a “free roam” gameplay mode in GT5, where players could drive around, respecting speed limits and obeying traffic laws, and even exit the car to walk around and explore the environment on foot.
The YouTube replay upload feature had to be pulled from the final version of the game because it took a very long time to render and it consumed too much memory. Yamauchi is still considering it, however.

As always, it is refreshing and exciting to see Yamauchi’s interactions with fans via Twitter. Let’s hope the medium continues to be a valuable open line into Polyphony Digital as GT5 to evolves!

just played online with zzz3. some american people were in our room driving like knuckle heads :S cutting corners and spinning us out..wtf? it was funny when they would travel in the opposite direction trying to hit us but failed miserably..

I'm a member on another site and those are the only people I play online with. I refuse to go into public lobbies for exactly that reason, morons who don't actually want to race properly. This game has an amazing online mode when you are with people who actually want to race legit.

??Go with the Ferrari 458 Italia. I believe it runs around 200k. Put a few upgrades into it and you will dominate many, many races. That's my most used car for the a-spec racing. You can bring it into a lot of series and just crush the other cars (once it's all modded out).

OK.. I own Forza 3 and GT5.. I have a Fanatec Wheel i use for both.

After getting to lvl 32 I have a decently good feel for GT5 and I must say im extremly unimpressed.

Graphics: There are moments in GT5 that simply look amazing, (Rain, Night etc) however for every amazing moment there are 5 horrid ones.

The fact that 80% of the cars look like terrible PS2 graphics and have no interior views is not what i had in mind after waiting 6 years.
The new tracks look amazing, however old tracks like Laguna Seca look like PS2 crap yet again.
The shadows are pixelated old school crap PS2 style.
The actual in game racing graphics on the premium cars/tracks are slightly nicer that Forza 3. I was expecting more.

Physics:
The one thing this game got right (except for skid recovery).

AI: They drive on a fixed line like you dont exist. Even at lvl 32 so those of you saying it gets better must be kidding. Just like the first Gran Turismo. Forza does it better.

Customization: Well.. the fact im stuck with stock rims on 800 cars says it all. No motor swaps, no custom paint liveries. GT5<Forza 3

Photo mode: GT5 wins this IMO. Premium cars only though.. but they look great. Too bad i could care less and want the in game racing visuals to look this good for all cars.

Controls: I use the same wheel for both games and find the force feedback better on Forza, not to mention the clutch simulation is also much more realistic. But they both do a good job.

Cars: 1000+ cars in GT5... Too bad most of them are garbage no one wants to drive... I mean common.. a Premium Toyota Prius but a standard Veyron? WTF. The usual Gran Turismo 50 skylines, 20 civics etc. No Porsches.. only a handfull of RUF's, Missing the F50 and 360 etc. 1000 cars be dammned.. the 430 in forza are better and all have interiors.

Sound: This is hit and miss.. some cars sound fantastic... others are terrible.. Im sorry but V8 muscle cars that sound like Honda's is not acceptable in 2010.

Overall: I guess its safe to say i saw this comming.. I swore up and down i wouldnt buy it until it was $20 in the bargain bin and would wait but i saw it in Best Buy on release day and grabbed it.

25% of this game looks, Sounds, and plays like a 10/10... its too bad the other 75% is a PS2 game i played 8 years ago called GT4.

They should have delayed the launch another year or at least given us less features and spent more time on premium content. Id gladly trade in 800 standard cars for 200 more premiums.
I can only hope some of this is addressed in patchs..

should i bother fixing it?I usually don't worry about the body damage, but the engine repair will actually get you back missing HP. One race I noticed that my 458 felt slower than usual, so I backed out and went to check the stats. I noticed the HP seemed a bit lower than it normally did so I went and spent probably 120k in engine repairs and gained roughly 60hp back.

I'm not sure how frequently you need to do this, but just keep an eye on your performance and if you notice the car feeling a bit more sluggish than normal, you might need a rebuild.

Customization: Well.. the fact im stuck with stock rims on 800 cars says it all. No motor swaps, no custom paint liveries. GT5<Forza 3

Photo mode: GT5 wins this IMO. Premium cars only though.. but they look great. Too bad i could care less and want the in game racing visuals to look this good for all cars.

Controls: I use the same wheel for both games and find the force feedback better on Forza, not to mention the clutch simulation is also much more realistic. But they both do a good job.

Cars: 1000+ cars in GT5... Too bad most of them are garbage no one wants to drive... I mean common.. a Premium Toyota Prius but a standard Veyron? WTF. The usual Gran Turismo 50 skylines, 20 civics etc. No Porsches.. only a handfull of RUF's, Missing the F50 and 360 etc. 1000 cars be dammned.. the 430 in forza are better and all have interiors.

Sound: This is hit and miss.. some cars sound fantastic... others are terrible.. Im sorry but V8 muscle cars that sound like Honda's is not acceptable in 2010.

Overall: I guess its safe to say i saw this comming.. I swore up and down i wouldnt buy it until it was $20 in the bargain bin and would wait but i saw it in Best Buy on release day and grabbed it.

25% of this game looks, Sounds, and plays like a 10/10... its too bad the other 75% is a PS2 game i played 8 years ago called GT4.

They should have delayed the launch another year or at least given us less features and spent more time on premium content. Id gladly trade in 800 standard cars for 200 more premiums.
I can only hope some of this is addressed in patchs..

WTF has Polyphony been doing for 6 years.Working on 4 different games for 3 different consoles. GT4 HD, Tourist Trophy, GT PSP, GT:P and finally GT5.

Polyphony Digital is also a small developer who refused to outsource any of their work, unlike Turn-10 (who outsourced a lot of their work). For GT6, PD really needs to consider outsourcing their car modeling so that they can have ALL premium quality cars and not just a limited amount.

Flexible camera angles and “dynamic and wide-area lighting needs” are to blame for the sometimes blocky shadows. Yamauchi admits they are a problem and wants to improve them.

Yamauchi appears to consider the possibility of removing the in-game HUD (heads-up-display features) at some point in the future.

To unlock the Red Bull X1, you’ll need to complete the “Sebastian Vettel Challenge”, which appears at Level 30.

Online “lounge” functionality and other features will be added “one by one”.

Polyphony Digital continues to work on fully supporting the Logitech G25 and G27, though

Mechanical damage options will be implemented in a new update for GT5 coming “early December”.

As you may know, many players noticed that GT5’s face-tracking functionality only worked in Arcade mode. According to Yamauchi, it’s not available in GT mode due to memory issues with the PS3.

In-game rewards (such as the monetary prize in GT5 Prologue) for your performance in online events is something Polyphony Digital is considering, and may be implemented in a future update.

Gran Turismo 5’s official, 2-disc sound-track will be released soon.

Yamauchi wanted to implement a “free roam” gameplay mode in GT5, where players could drive around, respecting speed limits and obeying traffic laws, and even exit the car to walk around and explore the environment on foot.

The YouTube replay upload feature had to be pulled from the final version of the game because it took a very long time to render and it consumed too much memory. Yamauchi is still considering it, however.

I am sorry, but to use an excuse such as they are working on 4 games at the same time is not a valid reason as to why after so many delays and hype, the game under-delivers when compared to its prior installments and its competitors. Forza 3 came out a year ago, and it still delivers an amazing experience to date. I still play it over and over.

I got a chance to play GT5 at a friends house and now I can definitely say they screwed up on this one. I was ready to purchase a Playstation 3 and GT5, but now with all this disappointment pouring across the internet, I can safely say I'll save my $400 on improving my gaming experience with my Xbox 360.

I usually don't worry about the body damage, but the engine repair will actually get you back missing HP. One race I noticed that my 458 felt slower than usual, so I backed out and went to check the stats. I noticed the HP seemed a bit lower than it normally did so I went and spent probably 120k in engine repairs and gained roughly 60hp back.

I'm not sure how frequently you need to do this, but just keep an eye on your performance and if you notice the car feeling a bit more sluggish than normal, you might need a rebuild.

Which one are you having trouble with, Intermediate or advanced? Make sure you have Traction control off and the ASM off. Both of these will slow you down through the turns, not allowing you to keep the speed up.

For Intermediate, I used this build (remember HP needs to be under 345 to enter into the race, so don't go above that):

Someone PM'ed me about my fanatec wheel and i must have deleted it by accident..

I use the 911 turbo S with the standard pedals.. not the pimp clubsport ones though i might pick them up for xmas... it works on everything.. PC,360 and PS3.
The one downfall is the price and the fact you can only order online... mine took awhile to ship.


As some of you above mentioned.. many people were waiting for GT5 as a reason to pickup a PS3.. If this is the case its not worth it. Once im done all the A-spec content ill be firing up the 360 and forza 3 once again to get my racing fix.

If you allready have both systems and are still hell bent on getting GT5 then check the used shops.. ive seen a few used copies allready.

But for the love of Jebus dont go rushing out and buy a PS3 and G27 Wheel only to play GT5. Serious waist of money.

with regards to Forza vs. GT5...like previously mentioned, no one game is worth dropping $300+ (or to some 300 + cost of wheel = 400 - 700) to get a system for, Forza or GT5...

GT5 is the best driving game for the PS3...Forza is the best driving game for the XBOX...unless they can cross-talk or say one day, they finally figure out cross-platform gaming (ie. guy on PC can compete with guy on PS3/XBOX), it really doesn't matter which game is better for those who really only have 1 system or the other, and wouldn't care to play the other one.

also...eventho I know some of you love the photo-mode and all the "lifestyle" aspects of the game, I CARE NOT ONE BIT about other features beyond driving and the driving experience...in real life, it takes some true technical know-how or resources/$$$ to do, and you can hear and feel an engine swap, but in a game, it's just 1's and 0's, so get over it.

Rims? LOL...I drive the inside of my car...unless you can quantify the effects of a set of lighter wheels or increased grip with wider wheels and tires (neither Forza nor GT5 can do either), then IT DON'T MATTER. I drive on the inside of the car...looks = nothing.

GT5 is difficult and frustrating...my non-carguy friends prefer NFS:HP...I did not get GT5 for the "fun" factor...it literally is a tool I use to keep myself up-to-speed over the winter season. And as such, sometimes it's like work...or like practicing the piano.

I don't want to sound like I hate on Forza...I had an XBOX and I just decided to get a PS3 and not a 360...

yes, drivetrain upgrades, LSD and the centre diff really makes a "diff"...HAHA...difference that is...

I don't know if Forza actually QUANTIFIES the change in wheel size and tire width...being able to "customize" it is one thing, but having a real effect on the phsyics is another...

For those who cared to read the GT5 development, they left A LOT OFF THE TABLE. I think of these games as platforms themselves, ready for downloable content at a price. otherwise, the business model just doesn't make sense.

EDIT: height of rim is just wheel diameter..I remember that feature, but that doesn't make a difference in a game...both games can lower ride height, which should affect the car's centre of gravity...again, I can't/couldn't feel a difference with a lowered ride height.

Having said that tho, I've been eyeing a Fanatec for over a yr when I got the Fanatec wheel stand...but doubt I'd go get another system for Forza...nor would I tell ppl to do so...it makes no sense to me! lol.,..

Based on your video, I can say that GT5 allows you to adjust many of the same settings; with exception to Wheel pressure and individual gear ratios (probably will be added with a patch, not sure why it's missing now).

Forza physics take into account the tires deformation under load, the tire pressure, the tire temperature seperated into 3 zones including inside, center, and outside edge (affects the pressure and grip) , the weight of the rim, the size of the sidewall, the tires width affects grip level and so does the tires compound. Wider tires weigh more (a few lbs) and even this is calculated into the physics model... Proper tire simulation is the First thing any "Sim" needs to get right.

Every mod in Forza changes the vehicles overall weight as well as Front/Rear balance. Add a huge turbo/Intercooler and you not only increase power, you also add weight.. but you add it to the front of the vehicle affecting the F/R balance. Add an ultra light performance exhaust and you not only increase the engines output, you also lighten the rear of the vehicle again changing the F/R balance and overall weight.

I would also argue that Forza 3 is worth the price of an Xbox if your a serious car nut and into racing sims/games. Mind you an Xbox can be had for less than a PS3. Also the cheap $99 Xbox racing wheel is actually not bad if you can live without a clutch pedal and proper gated shifter.

The xbox racing wheel has now been discontinued because of Kinect. However, I was able to buy a used one off kijiji for only 40 bucks, a steal IMO.

I use the porsche 911 turbo S wheel, shifter and pedals. I do not notice a difference in laptimes while using the gated shifter however the realism feeling and ability to skip gears is worth it. The best part about the fanatec setup is the ability to mix and match different pedals and buy a little at a time as the wheel has padle shifters as well. You can also use Logitech pedals from the G25/G27 with fanatec wheels.

I use the padle shifters on vehicles that come with them in R/L to add to the realism feeling. The clutch is excellent for launching high HP 2wd cars as you can feather it out and feed in the power. I also have a blast power shifting everything. ( Shifting without taking your foot off the throttle and quicky tapping the clutch. Lays rubber in multiple gears and actually shifts faster than using auto clutch. My lap times improved with this technique.

One thing to keep in mind. If you want to use a fanatec wheel for GT5 you must get the newer "S" version. Otherwise you will have to purchase a $30 dongle from fanatec to use thier older wheels.

Also the clutch pedal in GT5 just acts like a button.. On or off.. No actual simulation.

One thing that I'm an disappointed with in GT5 is that there is no Breaks tuning other then bias. No replacement option for carbon or ceramic pads, rotors, fluid even...or anything like that. Would be interesting to see people have great breaks early but suffer fade in the last few laps compared to someone that used a less bite, more durable compound.

Oh and if you get the chance to play it in 3D, DO IT! it looks great and really does add something to the game play...most importantly it truly enhances the in car view. The dash of the FT-86 concept just jumps out and you can see it's actually a 3D layered display. Looks great!

Just out of curiosity...what controller are most of you using? A wheel or the standard PS3 controller?

I'm using the PS3 controller and I think it may be holding me back from progressing. I'm new to the console and have never been a big fan of the Sony controllers and I'm having a tough time being precise with it to find those fractions of a second needed to gold some license tests and special events.

For those using the standard controller...what buttons do you use for the brake & throttle? I use the right analog stick but that limits me to be either braking or accelerating and not both...I've thought about using the L2 & R1 analog buttons but haven't made the change yet...any thoughts??

My setup:
L2 brake
R2 accel.
L1 shift down
R1 shift up
Triangle reverse
Square horn
Circle Handbrake
X lights

u can actualy press it half way or 1/4 or 3/4.. takes some time tho

yup, PS3 have, if you will, analog buttons. they are more multi-position but it's all the same......

Only at a 10 in A-spec...have only dabbled in B-spec so I'm still a 0.

I only get a couple hours a week to play...if I'm lucky.

The slow pace of cars in GT5 is killing me. The sense of speed is lacking especially when compared to Forza. Its like night and day. Ya, I know GT5 is a simulator but I am getting bored and don't have the patience anymore. Also, the music is GT5 is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I am not very impressed wit this game what so ever. Yes the graphics are amazing but they spent to much time on the graphics and not enough time on proper handling for the cars. the fact you cannot change wheels on almost any car is just retarded. The licences how the HELL are you supposed to get a gold trophy? Every race i only get the silver and I am JUST shy of hitting gold. The slightest tap in the licencing system either against the wall or another car in a corner gets you disqualified. REALLY? come on I am talking about the slightest of touches/hits. I keep trying to give this game more chances but somehow i keep finding my way back to forza

nope ive played 3 and 4 and they seemed easier. The game is not all what people made it seem to be. I am dissapointed. I am awaiting forza 4 :huge smile

truth dan. the graphics arent even that amazing. the shadows are soo bad my n64 puts out better shadow effects. the standered cars look like ps2 graphic. the maps look ok minus the paper like grass&trees. the prem cars look outstanding tho. i refuse to drive standered cars. the prem are beautiful to drive and look at.
the licencing is difficult. i have over a dozen silver trophies that are like .05 from gold time, soo cheezed about these.
another thing that pisses me off. the vehical sounds. my LFA sounds beautiful and my 69 camaro sounds like a hair dryer. LOLWUT.

did they fix online yet? gotta start dirfting soon hehe.

Does anyone know a good FAQ for the game. I'm interested in some aspets but can't find an indepth FAQ.

For example. Tires...they start dark blue then go lighter...is this wear or temperature? How do I know when i need to repair a car? or if the engine is damaged? That kinda thingy

well last night i was driving my 850 HP american car lol & every time i braked hard it went from blue to red when i was trying to stop from 300km to 50 & the damage you will know when the car just isn't running as quick or how you want it i noticed it last night i need to do 25,000 on my engine & 35,000 on the body

See that';s the thing. The tires go red when they have lost grip, that leads me to believe it's temperature....if so how are they showing wear? If they don't, why would you ever use anything but soft tires...also, does anyone know if the comfort:soft tire is a better choice then the sport:hard?

well for a few reason... like for drifting u want tires with less grip ?? thats wat i read.
and on endurance race, most people don't put the softest tires so they dont have to go into the pit as often ( thats from gt 3 what i remember)
now with the ferrari im driving, if i use the softest tires , it heats up really quick when i stop fast or a long turn, then i end up losing grip and speed.
with one above soft, i still have the nice grip and higher durability, i actually ended up with a quicker laptime
maybe someone else have better explanation for ya
