Sorry, Im sure you guys are sick to death with this discussion...but just a quick question and I'll shut up.:(
I did a search and couldnt come up with a cut and dry answer.
I bought new snow tires and steelies last winter and put them on for the season. Its now time to put them back on.
Do I need to get them rebalanced prior to reinstalling them? I think I only did approx 3,000-4,000K max on them.
Thanks

I've posted this a half dozen times. Yes, you should get them balanced. It's a good idea to get your wheels balanced every time you swap them on.

no you don't, only rebalance them if you feel vibration when driving.
i've swapped tires myself for 6 seasons and never had to rebalance.

Here are your cut and dry answers: yes and no
I believe it is recommended, but not absolutely necessary, thats my opinion

Changing our own tires, we only rebalance if we feel vibrations, and or every/other season. Summers are rebalanced every other summer, and winters every other winter.
Then again, I generally rotate tires as often as I can for the summers.

I gave my opinion based on experience. I balance my wheels religiously. I have never, ever, gone in and had all 4 wheels be in balance. At least 2 wheels need to be rebalanced every time. I don't wait for any vibrations.
