Is pretty bad. I have taken that off so many times. How can anyone think they should be able to left turn there is a mystery to me...

they really need to make the driving tests much much MUCH more difficult in this province. they're are wayyyy too many BAD drivers out on the roads.

corolla drivers make me nervous..they always drive slow..do the stupidest things and yet they're EVERYWHERE!!! is it because the driver's education vehicles are corollas that the student's go out and buy one? last night i was waiting at an intersection and the left turn arrow signalled the cars to turn left..the corolla on my right which was going straight like me started accelerating..wtf its a red light..they realized the light wasn't green but they were already in the middle of the intersection.

Well, we already have multiple tests...my cousin lives in Seattle and its one driving test which he said didnt even include him driving on the highway.

Saddest part is
Police said a Toyota Corolla left the Gardiner Expressway at the Bay exit and was attempting to turn north when it collided with an eastbound Toyota Echo.

Toyota FTL (mind you, we have a Toyota that my parents drive...but neither of them drive like typical corolla drivers).

I agree with phil lol I wanted a corolla cuz my driving instructor drove one and I kinda felt more comfortable in one since "its what the instructor" drives as well lol
I know a lot of my friends bought a corolla cause thats the first car they drove.

I wish driving schools would use Mazda 3's as instructor vehicles. Driving behind the wheel of a Corolla and a Mazda 3 I feel a lot more confident behind the wheel of the Mazda 3 because, it has a higher view of the road, a great breaking system and first and foremost, it gives gas the way you want it to give gas when you are shitting bricks to accelerate.

Most driving schools are looking for the cheapest car to run and I suspect the Corolla fits that bill.

The accident is so avoidable. Just someone not obeying the rules for that exit. If the person had left turn on yonge they would have still been able to get where they wanted to go but without breaking any rules.

+1. Model it after the United Kingdom Driving Standards Agency test. The way they have it setup is fair and better prepares motorists on what they should expect to encounter in their vehicle and while on the road.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/LearnerAndNewDrivers/PracticalTest/DG_4022540. Not to say this is absolutely perfect, I am sure we have all come across YouTube videos of absolutely horrid drivers in the UK...

Ontario should of never let the administration of road tests go to the private sector. It seems that since the Conservatives decided to privatize Drive Test to Serco DES (for a 10 year term) back in 2003, the failure rate seems to have fallen and thus we are stuck with motorists who should of failed their driving examination in the first place. But that's just my opinion after witnessing driving stupidity increase since I first got my license 11 years ago, that and seeing just how stupid people really can be in my current line of work day in day out.

Test drove a corolla on the highway, felt like the only acceleration was from gas rushing out of the exhaust, same with the civic.

this is not entirely true. the corolla is one of the only cars that the driving schools will except becuase of its steering radius. if you have ever tried to do the driving schools "way" of reverse parking (ex: move up two spots, turn the wheel all the way, let it go around twice and back in) youll find its practically impossible to do in other cars. also the acceleration is something that has to be standardized and was chosen for that reason. not to mention the price lol

My dad's an instuctor and he wanted to get a corolla as well...that was before i sat him down:chuckle but as for them driving mazda's i dont know if im a fan..cause i think mazda drivers would start being stereotyped as bad drivers becasue people would link them to students drivers..

The accident is so avoidable.

Diss the Rollas all you want, but I can't even stop counting how many times I've had to borrow my brother's Corolla after my 3 died on me the past 6 years.

They are boring and ugly. But they get you from point A to B without any drama.

Mazda3 = Hot girl that looks good but isn't reliable
Corolla = Average girl, stable, reliable and no drama.

Take your pick. I'm getting older so I'd pick the Corolla if I was to buy a new car today.

Saw one that was going west on woodbine and hwy 7 yesterday night. It was red and he kept creeping forward until he was almost in the intersection. I just stared in disbelieve. It wasn't even advanced green where people sometimes creep cause they are impatient he was just doing it on a full red. Weird.
