Not that anyone cares. I got laid off Tuesday, last day of work was Wednesday. As of now I'll be back to work sometime mid-January. Since I have nothing to do in Toronto and I was planning on spending 2 weeks over the holidays with my girlfriend in Montreal and Baie-Comeau anyway, I'm heading up to Montreal Saturday after I get my new winters put on. I know we have a few Montreal located members on the forum and I'm not posting this in the mini-meets section because I don't think any of them would check it, but if anyone is up for a Montreal TM3 meet in the next couple weeks just PM me or reply in this thread.

And hey, if anyone wants to cruise from Exclusive Wheel and Tire to Montreal this Saturday the 4th, I'd love the company.

Quiet Phil. It's worth a shot and hasn't even been more than 3 hours yet.

I'll be having cheap fondue quite often, I think. The whole holiday trip thing to Montreal and Baie-Comeau will be over $350 in gas, probably.

Au pied du cochon is pretty reasonably priced. Good food in MTL is cheaper than TO by far.

Ever eat at the Fire Grill? It's right across the street from one of the metro stops, I think it's Peel. For my birthday this year my girlfriend took me there and got me a $28 16 oz rib steak and mashed dinner. I wanted to cry it tasted so good. I have never eaten a tastier slab of meat in my life. Had a double wiser's to top it all off. I might have to go back there...some day...

Yes that's also good.

Au pied is more fancy I guess. It's a local hot spot. My banker friend from NYC used to bring his coworkers on trips to MTL and they always go to Au pied each time and rack up some huge bills.

Here's some examples of food there:

Yep! It's their can cooked duck. They put all the stuff in the can and then steam it to cook it. Opens it at your table. You can buy the can and make it at home I think.

You might have better luck with a meet in the Ottawa area lol.
