Anyone ever seen this show or keep up with it? i've been watching it since day one and occasionally even catch Americas worst driver on tv tropolis, alot of these drivers are just unbelievable, tomorrow is the finale for this year and believe they're doing the downtown toronto test so everyone watch out

I've made a point to watch every episode since season 3 or 4.

I can't wait for tomorrow's Finale.

Don't worry though, the closest CWD this year to Toronto is from St. Catherines...

I think in season 3 one of the girls failed her test in practice...but flirted enough with the instructor to be given a pass (or so she claimed anyway). Every year they manage to find horrible drivers. They're honestly so bad that I often wonder if they are faking it.

Bad driving is something you can't fake I don't think. When it comes down to it experienced drivers will subconciously maneuver their vehicle under their instincts.

These people are just horrible. I have heard of people who have done their driver exams upwards of ten times and have received pity passes from their instructors.

That sounds a lot like Angelina from season 5... she didn't pass, but the examiner asked a question and if she got it right, she'd get a license.

To be perfectly honest here, I'd want to go on the show because of all the stuff you can learn from them. I've had my license for 2 years and have driven for 3 (Learner's permit driving with my parents), I would like to think that I'm a decent driver but I know that there's still a lot I can learn.

And there is a prize... ahaha, it's the Canada's Worst Driver Trophy.

I wonder if they sold the Camaro yet? Anybody wanna pitch in, buy it and... fix it up... there's probably a few Camaros in the junk yards now that we could yank parts off of.

I was also surprised that Dale wasn't the worst, but as soon as Lance was getting snippy about his anxiety not being an issue and seeing how he never seems to pass ANY of the challenges makes me see why they choose him. Dale was too far gone and set in her horrible habits that she most definately won't be able to change them. Lance, maybe since he's younger will actually think about stuff now.

Either way, it's crazy scary how bad these people were. What's even worse is that you know there are more people like that out on the road. I think you should be re-road tested every 10 years.

Being from niagara falls myself i have driven the test route they used thousands of times. They did pick some annoying left turns but nothing that people used to driving around clueless tourists all day cant handle.

The fact that people like this drive pisses me off... I better not see Dale driving around st kitts or ill T-bone her with my 4000lb winter beater. lol

+1. I saw one episode where the guy claimed to have been a delivery driver for ten years saying that his job was on the line if he did not improve. HOW DID YOU WORK TEN YEARS IN THAT FIELD IF YOU CANT DRIVE?!? How are these people even on the road like most of them obviously are not as they are too terrible to be allowed on the road really.

However I can 100% guarantee you I kid you not can find a person to put on that show every single day I go out driving.
People who sit at green lights, make complete stops at yield signs, merge onto highways going 50-60, people who slam on their brakes as they are merging. The list goes on. People who can't handle driving over 35km/h.

Sly, lol! Mr."verbal learning disorder" is definitely CWD! Watching him do the reverse challenge last night was just brutal. Love watching this show with my 10 year old....she's yelling at the TV how to do an S-turn :thumbsup

TBH, the people who go on CWD should be under facility insurance paying 400$ a month, and should be forced to learn and operate a manual car. For a manual car will improve their driveability and teach them, if you mess up and dont pay attention, it will inconvenience you more and do extra wear on your car.

thats actually not true many ppl on the show drove manual and were still terrrible then when they graduated they promised to buy an automatic because it is easier to handle. some ppl just should drive standard, driving a standard car doesn't make you a better driver unless you know what your doing.

ahh you are right, but it being a standard car makes you learn quickly, i've converted quite a few of my friends to manual. they improved from horrible/slow/distracted/unconfident drivers to well preforming and alert, even those who went back to auto remained much more skilled at driving.

and i saw that episode, are we talking about the one they had to drive the car up the teeter-totter to level it out, and that one guy who claimed to always drive stick destroyed a clutch. I cringed and felt the pain as that clutch was tortured

-1 not true at all. I have a friend who was born with cancer in his eye and had to get it removed as a baby. so he has a glass eye. And he is a great driver. Yes he has to make more of an effort to check blind spot (pun intended) but he still manages to drive safely, confidently and effectively. I agree though that this season the guy in question shouldn't be behind a wheel...but not solely because he has a glass eye.

and yes the drivers this season absolutely astonish me as to how bad they are. Klyne is an arrogant little punk and should be taken off the roads forever. IMO

You'd lose only about 20% of your (field of) vision from losing an eye. The only major thing that would affect you would probably be your depth perception, but that can be accommodated for with practice.

Actually, his attitude sucks as well. Remember he got kicked out of the gas station episode where he just angled his car while someone was taking the spot and when he got called out on this he stated that he does that all the time. That makes for a very selfish and unsafe driver.

oh agreed. He is most certainly a terrible driver. But I don't think that can be blamed entirely or at all on the fact that he has a glass eye. That may be his excuse but if he was a considerate, conscientious driver in the first place he would make the effort to be better.

I have a friend who's missing an eye. He's a pretty solid driver.

Now, Kevin on the other hand has myriad problems other than the glass eye. He just isn't on the ball. I mean he never looks where he's supposed to. Mirrors aren't part of his arsenal. I'd like to subject him to shock treatment or perhaps Pavlovian conditioning.

It's kind of funny how Robert just didn't know where to look when driving. He was literally looking ten feet in front of the hood, rather than further toward the horizon. I see this on the road all the time. Ever park your car in the curbside lane only to have a travelling car come right up on you, get caught in traffic and have to change lanes to get out? Can't they see the parked cars a couple hundred yards away and merge over to the left?

Klyne really does need does need a beating though. He has the hand-eye co-ordination and physical skills, but lacks good judgement. I think he needs humiliating. Maybe the airing of this show and the fallout he gets around town will accomplish this.

Flora is pretty hopeless. I don't think it's a good idea to get your licence at an older age. It's hard to observe things you've been accustomed to ignoring. It's especially difficult when you have an asshat spouse like Frank constantly destroying your confidence.
