I'm not looking for too much this year as I've pretty much bought what I wanted already. I was just wondering if anyone else will be toughing it out in line waiting for that good deal?

was thinking about it but now its boxing week with almost every store so to go shopping for one day isn't worth it anymore (at least for me) maybe for clothes but for other items like electronics, i'd rather wait until new year clearance.

edit: been wanting a surround sound system for my basement with wireless rear speakers. any suggestions?

I thought it was but if you add a hard drive you only save about $20 off of the normal price. If not it's a sick price!

I still have the Hard Drive from my old 360...and the controllers, etc. So it might make sense.

I'll be getting an LCD/ LED tv if the prices are right. Saw the Future Shop flyer and not impressed with their selection... holding out on the Best Buy flyer now.

And possibly the new 360. Though I wanted the 250GB one. We will see.

The Samsung 6 series 40" LCD for $599 is a really good buy. I have the 46" version, and it's amazing.

Get the 70-300mm VR Nikkor....you won't be sorry. It is worth the extra cheddar. I have the standard kit 18-55mm VR lens with it and I do not miss the 15mm of gap.

Also got the Nikkor 50mm F1.8 prime for xmas. Wonderful lens, and a real bargain basement price. It's just as clear as the other Nikkor 50mm primes that cost exponentially more!

If you had to pick between the 55-200 or the 55-300 though at least go to the 55-300mm. It gets you a metal lens mount, it is also a little better built too.


I'm getting a D90 or D7000 body tomorrow at Henry's. The D7000 is awesome, but the D90 is still a wonderful camera for a bargain price right now...can't make up my mind.

I really want to stick with Samsung, but Futureshop never advertises their 8 series 65" on their website (Even though some stores carry it). The Sony LX900 also looks really good, has a great discount and comes with 3D glasses. Sony's currently in the lead...

Don't really mind working today...double time and half at my average comission per hour for the last month...plus any commission sales I make today.

Any (ex-)futureshop employees know when FS restocks their stores? Currently one of 30 customers waiting for a Sony TV. I was originally told 2 weeks, but the sales person later told me it could be as soon as 1-4 days... That was on Sunday.

they would have been restocked the next day to some extent...also we were able to sell out of the warehouse next day(monday) as well. But if drop off dates are like they are at my store...we get stock every Monday and Thursday.

Nice... So I might hear from them by Tuesday in theory. Several FS employees showed me their inventory by location and aside from the odd store that had '1' unit in stock (Demo units apparently), they all showed 0. So I don't think it's coming in from the warehouse...(?)

I really hate waiting...
