My dad ordered a Samsung Captivate from Rogers as a HUP. He's not a smart phone kinda guy and he is pretty happy with his current phone. So he's looking to sell the phone BNIB. How much would it go for these days?

+1 Try to sell it reasonably soon. A ton of next gen android phones were showcased at CES 2011 this past week. Some will be coming out within a month.

Street price $450 for quick sale or lower, $500 you can start off if you WANT/might be able to sell (pushing it a little).

I think $450 is a good price. Maybe $425 for a TM3 price hehe. I will start a thread on BST once the phone is delivered.


How hard is it to unlock this phone?

If its anything like the vibrant, there is an app on the android market that will unlock it for you on the spot.

Just got this phone a few weeks ago on upgrade and i can vouch that its a badass phone! uber fats and responsive and the 4" screen makes browsing way better than my old magic (3.2").
