View Full Version : In-House Snow Blower Repair?
Hey gang,
Does anyone here repair snow blowers in-house? In the Mississauga area... I'm pretty sure it's just gunked up fuel lines / carb, but I just want someone who's experienced to deal with it (I have too many other things going on ATM, can't take on a new project).

+1... I realized mine doesn't start this morning after I woke up to a blanket of snow everywhere.
Mississauga too.
CJ; if we find someone want to see if he'll make a 2-for-1 deal and split it?
Works for me!

my girlfriends uncle does that stuff on the side (used to be a small engine mechanic)
Can you ask him for a quote and if he does house calls in 'sauga? :) We have two members interested! Maybe more then others start getting home from work and realize their snow blower is broke...

Just turn it on and stick your hand in it, isn't that how you do it?

I got really tempted to ask one of those guys that runs the tiny snowplows at UTM if he'd pop by the house and plow the driveway in exchange for a couple 20s... I didn't end up asking though.
Trust me, when I was out breaking my back earlier today, I thought about doing the same thing. The problem is most people won't do one-off's, they want per season or per month... and when you consider how much snow we've gotten in the last 2 years, it generally isn't worth it. But I really hope we don't get another storm, I'm running out of places to store the snow!

What kind do you have? I had the same problem my areins, what happened was the gas cap was on too tight, i loosened it a bit and that worked.

DRain the gas tank and look for crap built up at the hose inlet..... lawn mowers and snow blowers both suffer from this.... do the revs go up and down too?

Yeahhh... I know my cars but I'm not mechanically inclined in the slightest bit. No idea how to do any of that except loosen the gas cap.

^^^ Can't stop staring at SSmoked'd gif...
I'll find the brand when I get home. I haven't had the time/inclination to open 'er up, but figured if someone could do it on the cheap, let them freeze their butts off.
