Shop that Specializes in BMW's on the west end?

Hey everyone,

As the title states, I'm looking for a shop that would specialize in BMW mods & repairs.

Preferably west of Toronto (Etobicoke, Brampton, Mississauga area).

I will be looking on BMW forums as well, however I figured I would ask here first because I can and appreciate the knowledge the members have on this forum. :)

Ask Ami where he got the work done on his. I've seen Jim working on numerous modified and stock Bimmers; if you're willing to take a trip to Markham Jim is a good mechanic. Post some pics if you get one!

All my work has been done through a dealer in Toronto. Aside from that, only other place I would go would be Jim at Street Performance.

Yep, Jim knows Bimmers; actually so does Rich. I know he has (or had) two of his own in the shop.

speed star on east end have good rep from the e90 crowd.

I took mine to jimmy before for mechnical service.. he knows them pretty well, never asked if they can program the DME/CAN but I don't think they can.

IE. if it is a battery replacement, I don't think Jimmy can program it

I'm taking mine to Bimmex woodbridge to change oil in the next few weeks when I have time, they seem to have decent rep too.. I can report back after

When I had my car I went to Bimmersport. But I hear they have changed slightly since I went.

Bimmersport or RMP they have the special tool's and diagnostic equipment to work on BMW's, I wouldn't bring a BMW to a "general" shop.

Took my M3 to RMP.

took my car to bimmex woodbridge last week... blah service, tried to scam me on a whole brake job to install clutch delay valve just because the fluid might need to be bled.

I'm glad that you knew that they are trying to scam you. A big lost if you have scammed.

only place most ppl on maxbimmer take their cars.

i personally tried out rmp and stuck with them since. have not tried bimmersport but heard nothing but good from them too.

either one is a really good choice

last season when I swapped summers to winter tires I know my rear pads are thin, but no where near unacceptable level as they claimed & I haven't been brakign hard. The funny part is I got i-drive which tells me I have 23000km left... so they threw in a 'might as well' $400 brake job.

I changed the clutch delay valve on my other e90, didn't want to do it because it is hard to get to without a lift.
