So, just two days after placing my order with Tirerack.com, the UPS man arrived with my new wheels and tires. I love em. More importantly, the price was great, and purchased with Cdn dollar above par! I know the multi-spoke, star pattern is not for everyone, but I think they're really going to pop on the car. I got a full stock setup because there are no plans to drop the car. (Been there, done that)
The wheels are 17" Enkei Racing SC03's.
The tires are Hancook Ventus V12 evo K110 in 205/50/17.
Came with lugs and centering rings.
(sorry, no time to re-size all of them.)

Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110
To mix fairy tales, this is “the little tire that could.” It is, in plain terms, just a great tire. It’s good in the wet, the dry, on smooth or rough roads — it likes it all. It performs flawlessly in every test category and scores well above average compared to the competition.
Hankook is challenging consumer’s preconceptions about non-main brand tires. Now this Korean company has set its sights on high-end cars like Mercedes, BMW and Porsche. The EVO12 is the result.
The tire is the perfect fit for the average driver of the average high-end car. The tire is never an absolute best in any category but it is so consistent in top third results that it just feels right driving it everywhere but on the track.
The EVO is has tons of grip and is easy to drive and control. Most drivers will not want to push their cars hard enough to find the tire’s handling limits. And if they did, they would find a tire that just fades away from grip with no sudden surprises. It is very drivable at the limit.
The limits are high, wet or dry. The steering feedback gives a good sense of what is happening at the contact patch. The tire has a central continuous rib, so it tracks straight when the roads get rutty. The EVO V12 is a super tire for those who value ride comfort above absolute grip.
When price is factored in, the Hankook becomes an even wiser buy. It outperforms most of its more expensive rivals and only yields to the elite of its class. And on average, it costs about 30 per cent less. A P225/40R18 retails for about $190.

sexy lol love the wheels at first i thought you got the same wheels as me but in sliver looks good
i do have a question though why did you go 205/50/17? how wide is your rim? and why not 45's?

Thanks very much Kappa,
The wheels are 17'x7.
I wanted to stay perfectly stock. I didn't want to add the extra rolling resistance of a 225 width tire. The offset is 45, so they'll sit a little outboard from stock. Suites me perfectly!

well i think 205 is fair with a 7" wide rim i love your offset :) and the 50 will take away more wheel gap on the 2010 because they have huge wheel wells lol so it will look good! good luck! cant wait to see them

Packages from Tire Rack are great when they give you everything(lugs, centre ring, lug adapter). And they are normally quick too!
Great looking wheels and curious about the Hankcook's. Can you keep this thread updated with your thoughts on them?

Never seen that Enkei before. They look good kinda like the OEM evo x wheels from a bit ago.

Thanks for the feedback guys.I will definitely add more pics once they're on the car. It's going to be a looong winter. Hahaha.
I'll also be sure to post comments about the tire performance. Several stores here in the GTA quoted 175-190 for those Hancook V12's.
$88 on Tirerack.

shoulda gone 215/45 for tires.
almost the same size, and a touch cheaper too! 205/50 is a rare size.

Yeah, I hear what your saying about a wider tire size. It would not make too much difference in gas mileage. But it would have an impact on the speedo...
Specification-- Sidewall-- Radius-- Diameter-- Circumference -- Revs/Mile-- Difference
205/50-17 -- 4.0in 12.5in -- 25.1in -- 78.8in -- 804 -- 0.0%
215/45-17 -- 3.8in 12.3in -- 24.6in -- 77.3in -- 819 --(( -1.8%))
2% is enough to drive me nuts.
I would have to go up to a 225 width tire, and that would certainly impact gas mileage.
I'm happy.

Nice Chromies. Are they the bolt in type valve stems? How much extra?

just tried to put a combo together up at Tirerack and I don't see where to order the chrome valve stems. How'd you do it?

No special order required.
They come standard with that wheel.

Oh, and the Enkei SC03 from Tirerack comes in one finish - bright silver.
It's not polished chrome.

I'm looking at wheel/tire combos on TR and 1010. Was it really much cheaper to go with TR for the setup you bought? Nice wheels, I'd take the "enkei tuning" sticker off

Yeah, with the dollar at par, I think it was about 180 cheaper going with Tirerack. And it's funny you mention the stickers. I DO want to take them off. But I'm scared I'm going to blemish the wheel.
Anyone got any tricks to take those off cleanly?

maybe a hair dryer to soften up the glue, then a wet micofibre cloth and even some wd-40 or goo gone
how much did TR charge you for shipping? I just built and order and they want $323.00

I don't have the bill handy, but the entire order...wheels, tires, shipping, duty, brokerage = $1538.00

Did you get them balanced?

Thanks.
Tirerack mounts and balances for free.
I was totally impressed with the buying experience, from order to delivery.
Outstanding.

225/40 is better because the overall wheel size is almost exactly the same.

nope 225/45/17 is closest to stock but i wouldn't put a 225 on a 7 inch rim.

in his OP he says he wants to keep it stock sizing, 205/50/17 is stock size.

You could ask someone to photochop them on your car if you ask nicely.
