View Full Version : Missing Towing hook?
I was stuck in a snow bank yesterday and the tow truck driver popped the little square on the back bumper to find nothing but foam. Is there supposed to be a something that the tow truck can latch onto there?

Not sure about the 2010s but on the 1st gen, there is a tow hook in the trunk that screws into the hole.

The info should be in your owners manual.

yup and the part should be in the trunk..
HOWEVER, had you have found it, and used it.. you would have severely messed up your car, as this is NOT a tow hook it is a TIE DOWN Hook. Used only to secure the vehicle to a boat/flat bed.

Good to know but how would you get the car out of a snow bank?

either don't put it there in the first place... :P or do it like you would with any other car, but that 'tow thing' in the front is not for tugging a car out of the ditch.
so just to be clear the foam is all that's supposed to be behind that removable square piece?

no, there is a socket for the metal hook that's in your trunk.
