Brought my car in day 1 to repair a seized lock actuator, tech took about 3 hour's time to get the door to unlock and install the new lock (tech finished at 5pm but stayed till 5 20pm nice of him) - I thought whatever because they only quoted me 1 hour labour so what the heck!

Got my car back at the end of the day, seemed ok, I worked a 14 hour shift and the tech stayed past the 5pm open time so I said what the heck everything should be good.

Next morning I went to the car, the handle was loose as ****:bang, got inside, MUD every were :bang from the tech not taking care of a customer's car (his boot mark all over my tuner button's, shifter + dash) I cleaned it myself!, Next I go to close the door and the damn thing sounded like a freight door shutting :bang(latch catching on the striker). SO I called the dealer back, told the advisor of what I found , he scheduled me for the same day (his excuse for the poor worksmanship was "the mechanic ran into a few troubles with that repair and was in a RUSH - yes they told me that they screwed up because they were in a rush pretty much!)The repair's of the original repair took about an hour (waste of a work day for me). Door handle was fixed, door striker was decent, it still wasn't adjusted 100% so I didn't want to waste my time further. I did get a complimentary car wash which was nice but I would have preferred if the job was completed properly in the first place.

Would I go back to Forbes Mazda? For simple oil changes yes.

Just to add the service advisors for the most part were great, I would have been very happy with everything if the tech would have taken a bit more care in the work he performed.

Sorry to hear about your incident.

I do agree, some techies need to step it up a bit, when entering and leaving the car, watch the plastics! My interior is beige and dirt shows up easily and if not maintained, looks horrible.

Few times I have had dealerships leave mud and dirt on the plastics hear the door and pedals, the shift nob, the steering wheel.

A popular Honda dealership in GTA, left a nasty scratched on the interior (grey) plastics and it had this thick oil tar looking thing... One time, they scratched the rear bumper after parking the car, they touched a pole slightly, and they buffed but was still there. I was so pissed, I told them, I am not paying till it's fixed. It didn't and I got 50% off the service ($370something at the time).

I hope they cleaned out the interior (at least, the place of incident) nicely for you.

No they didn't, because It was beyond horrible and I like my car very clean so I cleaned it all up, I noticed a freaking small small dent by my door tonight also! FFS! (not blaming dealer because who know's when that happened!)

Sorry to hear that...

Guess what? Not that I want to blame the dealership as well, but I noticed a small dent on my car rear bumper a day after I got my car back from the car 4 month inspection. The dent seemed to have repaired with some white paint (my car is white), so the person who did it was totally aware what had happened. Of course I couldn't go back to the dealership and asked them as I had already left the dealership and I found out about the dent *1" day later.

Maybe it's just an coincident. I am still wondering right now if it was a dent I got from somewhere else (maybe someone hit my car while I was working?)

It was around 2 months ago. Other than that though....I think everything was fine.
