May not have the HP you're looking for, but still pretty impressive!

Lol, that's not a bad replica. Might be fun to play around in for a little bit, but I think the novelty would wear off quickly. Especially if you're in traffic and can't go as fast as everyone else. Granted, you probably couldn't get away with something like that here in NA.

some guy already tried this, he made a pedal car out of an old car and drove it around toronto streets. he ended up getting pulled over and charged, but they threw it out in court because it wasn't a "motorized vehicle" but the courts told him he couldn't drive it on public roads.

here it is on youtube:

hah thanks for that link, rob.
I wouldn't expect these sort of things to be legal on roads, but the ideas fun. Would need some serious expansion of bike lanes, though. :chuckle

I'd rather putter around in an Audi Auto Union Type C E-Tron Study. It is based on a limited-edition pedal car model, the rear wheel-drive Type C is powered by a small electric motor and a lithium-ion battery that propels one human — up to 5' 11" — at speeds of up to 18 mph, and as far as 15 miles.
