didn't have to be at work at any specifc time but it only took me 40 mins (25 without traffic on a dry day) to get here. the problem was that the front door is broken and i couldn't get into the office................ so i had to walk ALLLL the way around my building and go through the back door

I got up at 5, noticed that it wasn't super-bad. Was brushing my teeth to 680 news, heard them say that the snow had just begun at that point, so I turned around and went back to sleep. Working from home ftw.

:p This job is the bane of my existence, but if push came to shove, I can work from home. Hurrah for the single perk :chuckle

it ain't that bad out... but there are definitely DUMB drivers out there. Normally takes me 20 mins to get to work, it took me 25-30 today.

2 things that annoy me when it's snowing...

1. Dumb drivers. i.e. AWD don't mean u can speed up like a nut and cut me off, glad the dude in his S4 (B5) spun out, but wasn't glad that I had to yam my brakes not to hit the idiot.
2. Slow drivers in the passing lane. Get yourself in the other lanes and drive slow damnit.

i wish every day was a snow day like this! the roads were completely empty, i really didn't mind the drive. Timmies drive thru was empty - no lineups. and best of all fresh dry snow = tons of fun!

on a side note i honestly feel that this whole snowmageddon has bee blown out of proportion. it's winter, we're in canada - it snows around here, sometimes a lot. it's definitely not the end of the world like the media made it seem it was going to be.
maybe it's because the meteorologists have been wrong with their forecasts this whole season and the one time they knew they just couldn't miss this one they decided to create some publicity for themselves? lol

LOL....same thing here, a girl at work last night came in the lunchroom and started spreading word that it would be zero visibility today and it would be more than 50 cms.

Zero visibility indeed.....no snow in sight. :P

Most of mine was highway driving so I didn't have to get through anything like that. I would have to go around those lol

Me, I made it home from work last night. Yeah, I work nights. I wish I could work from home but from some reason the neighbours frown, as does London Transit, with me bringing city buses home. Oh well!!

Really wasn't much of a storm here in Toronto and pretty much hyped up by the media. Gave me a reason to work comfortably from home so not complaining. Every chance I get to keep the car indoors when it snows is a nice perk.

I've got 50 minutes in, 70 minutes back - averages to 1 hour :(

Today - only about 72 minutes including parking and heaving open the side door (of the building) which had a nice pile of white up against it.

employees entrance doesn't sound dirty until you think of a bunch of employees entering you that way
