I have been searching multiple car threads seeing if I could find something similar to the noise I am experiencing. Whenever I start up the car, (the noise started this winter) I get a chirping/squeaking noise. The noise is also present when shifting from 1st to 2nd (6sp manual). The noise is even there sometimes in different gears. The only common thing is, it chirps when the engine moves. So my guess is a motor mount. I've never had a car with a motor mount go bad. Any ideas?

I plan too, just been too cold to put the stock intake back on. My dealer is kind of anal, so its easier that way.

go to a underground parking lot put the intake back on or better yet leave the OEM intake on until your warranty is up you'll save yourself a headache over the 1hp increase.

Fully plan to do that. I like how ppl state the obvious instead of even helping diagnose any more.

I hate going to the dealer, so if someone else knew what it was and that it wasn't serious, I would just put it off.

Your clearly not doing the obvious, you have warranty for a reason!!! your car is a 2010 why are you even on here making a thread? common sense, hate it or love it go to the dealer and get your problem resolved before it turn's into something bigger and yes a failed engine mount can cause big issues other than vibration's (assuming it is the mount).

That should be an easy one, to figure out if someone experienced the same problem and knew what it was causing the noise. You'll find people asking questions on a forum is quite a common practice, whether they have warranty or not.

Well as it warms up my noise is still there, had it to Mazda no luck. They couldn't replicate it to the point where there could locate it. So I am just dealing with it until it gets worse. My brother is a diesel mechanic and I got him to look and listen, and from outside the car it sounds like it is coming directly from behind the drivers front tire.

He first heard it when I purposely stalled the car on a hill, he thought I had honked the horn it was that loud. Any new ideas on this?

I would really take it back to the dealer, the reason being that even if you do find out the issue (which is great) and you tell them what it is they still don't believe you. They have to go through a check list in order to diagnose the problem. It will probably take a few hours for a dealership to diagnose a problem as oppose to an independent garage that will tell you in seconds. But do put the OEM intake back on any dealership would be happy to blame it on that.

Oh I took it back and they said because I am lowered my suspension warranty is void and it is probably a suspension noise and didn't bother looking. My dealership is great. There is a TSB about cross member bushings, I brought to their attention but they wanted to argue that was suspension parts
