Depends when the next car comes around. If it's soon, I'm leaning towards WRX hatch. If it's down the road, who knows.

wrx or bust.
For me it depends on the price of fuel... I really want another truck... I miss mine so much. But anyway if the gas stays this high it will be a Audi A4 quattro.... My dad is pushing me to buy a Mercedes... The only thing I know for sure their will never be another Mazda in my drive way haha

No sh!t, even with an inline5 my truck still likes gas...my dad just traded his avalanche in on an 07 Ram Quad with a 5.7L Hemi from Stormy's...
For me, I still have a ways to go on paying it off, its still an 08. I know I won't go back to a car though after having a truck, I can certainly say that.
Maybe buy a project car next..depends on job/living status..

Interesting - I was just thinking about this on the way home... Probably time for me to grow out of the boy-racer phase, and into something a bit more... Mature. I'd say and A3 or A5 depending on whether I have kids or not.

if my Mortgage payments are the same - I'll most likely move on to an an A4 or 335.
if I move and payments increase - next car is a P/U or SUV winter beater.
if I just get bored tuning the 3 - maybe restore an old VW Gia or Convertible bug, then redo the 3 as a winter beater

Realistically, if I was buying a new car today, it would most likely be a BMW 135i with the M Sport Package. However, I have no plans on shelving the MS3 for at least another 5 years. By which time it will most likely be turned into a track car so that my wife and I can play with it on the weekends.

quite attainable at $60k USD but:
* nowhere to put it
* would have to buy a trailer to haul this thing to the track

Hopefully the Mazda can last me at least another 4-6 years and in that time I'm sure all the current car models will have been exhausted.
If I was upgrading tomorrow my most likely choice would be the CX-7... if I didn't have my current commute either.
With my current commute if upgrading tomorrow- probably the Fiesta or 2.

No not yet. But for amount of driving I do with the family/ extended family, I would like a bigger ride. Right now, I'm just looking..... won't be anything I'll get in the next couple of months; more towards the end of the year.

At the same time I don't want to jump between cars... honestly with gas prices where they are, I really DON'T need a premium-gas sucking V6 2-door sports coupe, and I DO like my economical yet loaded-to-the-tits 4-door sport sedan.
Ugh... just found a low-mileage 2005 Carrera 4S at a Porsche dealer very, very cheap.

Well I got a smoking deal on mine, so the new offer is probably not too off from what the car is actually worth. Factor into that I'm lucky and have one of the very few non-rusty Mazda3 sedans out there, in the perfect color combination (black on black leather), low mileage, and with the right transmission.
