water pump leak warranty issue

i have extended warranty on my 06 mazda, and there is a small water pump coolant leak. Dealer says i missed my 96k service and the warranty is void. I did a flush coolent myself and have a receipt for the coolant, is the receipt sufficient enough to show the dealer? how will they know if i had it changed in time?

They don't know if you changed it in time. All they have is your word and a receipt which means nothing. For all they know you or a friend bought the jug of coolant and that's all you did.

It is a sticky subject. DIY repairs are ok to do. But for service related items, a paper trail is always the best way to go.
