Hey everyone

I bought a set of 17x9 RPF1's for my Speed3. I wanted to paint them and something high on the WOW factor. My previous car was a Steel Grey 6 and everything was dark so this car I wanted it to be the opposite and have everything bright. Hence why I chose CBM. So what colour do I do the wheels?

Phil had sent me some little photo-shopped pictures on my phone and I'm feeling bright orange. My GF says gold would look best. I've also been suggested white, or just leave them silver. I don't want to do black.

Here is a pic that should be easier to photoshop then the one I orginally gave Phil, if anyone is interested. My car looks exactly the same except I have 20% tinted windows.

So TM3 help me decide, and don't be scared about suggestion something nuts, like a chameleon paint cause I will do that if it looks good. The wheels will most likely be done by Quy so hopefully he has the colour in stock.

Ya but which ones, I don't think I can go to Quy and get a swatch of every single colour. Unless I can?

Why don't u get a general idea of what colour u want, then go to quy's once you've narrowed down the choices?
Orang looks good too, but I think it's more common than bright yellow =)

Well, I guess when I get the wheels we are having a meet at Quys.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I want something bright, yellow I haven't considered but I like it.

I'll do white, I just don't know if it will make my car look funny. I'd be willing to give it a chance though. I just don't want it to look boring.

ARANGE!!!!!!!

HAHAHAAH what made this even more epic was your display pic.

Bro plasti dip the rims white first to see if your like em. if you do powder coat em white. trail and error first.

What do you think about doing it two-tone, or three-tone? The outer rim one color, the spokes another color, and inside the wheel a 3rd color.

Hell, maybe I should just start wearing Hawaiian shirts out to meets!

Hey, in terms of matching colour, white goes the best with blue. Orange...with blue = fashion fail. Go white.

Looks like white is winning.

Peter told me that white would like gay on the blue . . . . Still won't stop me from doing it.

White rims is a popular for blue cars, because it simply works:

Then again, it works on these ones because of the contrast; their blues are darker than yours. Your blue is kinda on the light side, so you might want to try to plasti-dip them in white first to see how it works out.

Dammit, that other thread makes me really want to do white. But the TE37's look great because of the thick spokes the RPF1's have thin spokes do you think it will still look good?

I think it'll look good. You'll still see lots of white because of the tall lip on rpf-1's

My wife's first choice would be neon green, but we couldn't find a set that would fit her car. So she has orange crush rims on her black car. I think it looks really good.
The white looks great but keeping them clean will be a nuisance. I guess the same could be said for any bright colour though.
