I just wanted some suggestions as these will be my new first set of rims. I have a galaxy grey mazda 3 so I kinda wanted to stay with a light coloured wheel to give some contrast. It isn't lowered yet, but getting some bigger rims will motivate me to do so.

Right now i'm thinking about getting 18" rims

Either Enkei EKM3 (Hyper Silver)

OR

OEM Mazda CX-7 rims? Which do you think would look better?

Thinking about combining the rims with General Exclaim UHP tires. I really wanted the Hankook Ventus K110 tires but they are kinda expensive.

EKM3 for sure. Not a fan of the CX-7 rims.

Go for the enkei's. BTW, get the Hankook's if possible. If your willing to travel to Buffalo, I got mine for a bit under $600 last year and thats when the canadian dollar was worth $1.02 US.

EKM3 if you ask me and the Hyper Silver finish will definitely complement your color

Thanks for the response guys, it really helps

Now i'm second guessing myself on the 18". I want the looks of the 18", but at the same time I dont want something too heavy that will affect how the car drives (zippyness). How is the drivability with the 18" rims and a 40 series tire. Should I go with the 17" and a 45 series tire? I have a mazda 3 GX.

I'm coming from 18" and moving down to 17"s. My RSGT reps were (22.5 lbs + tires) x 4 = weighs alot for me.
Going down to 17x7.5 (14.7 lbs) Advan Racing RS which is signficantly lighter.

I am downgrading from 17x7 ekm3 (20.2 lbs) to 17x7.5 rpf1s (15.2 lbs)

If you plan on slammin your ride I say 18s. If not 17s will look good

If you like the look of the EKM3 but don't want to spend the $$ you can look at the MSR 045. I just picked up a set from Allen @ Simply Tire, you could save a few hundred bucks... then you can get the tires you really want.

^ MSR 045. It is more silver than it looks like in the picture. Mine are waiting for me at Simply Tire, I'm sure Allen would show you them if you go see him ... but he better not sell them to you!!! lol

The CX-7's don't look bad at all. Here's what they look like on a couple of 3's. Car must be lowered though to pull off this look.
