Apparently she suffered a mini-stroke. Dysphasia FTL. :(

Correction: It was actually a severe migraine, which apparently can mimic some of the effects of a stroke, according to UCLA.

How did you find all that out?

I found all of this on facebook, but there wasn't much with it, just the vids heh

Did a quick google for "Selene Branson" and "stroke" after watching the video. Here's one link:

http://articles.latimes.com/2011/feb/17/news/la-heb-branson-episode-20110217

And correction2: it was actually a "complex migraine".

I love the comment by the author of the auto-tune remix:

THANK YOU! And on that note I tried to contact CBS to talk about putting this song up on iTunes and putting the profits towards Migraine research. Their response was threatening me with lawyers. So I guess that means no. lol

oh, wow. I thought it was just her messing up really badly, like can sometimes happen when people mess up one word and then the rest just get even worse lol. Glad she's okay.

LOL, wow, what a bunch of jerks. However, I can see why they might get a little upset lol.

This actually used to happen to an ex-gf of mine. When she would get a super severe migraine her speech would go all crazy and sound like that. She would also black out and get blurry vision. Scary stuff.

^^ Very scary. I feel bad now, I thought these were outtakes or something.

Scary stuff indeed. Did she have much warning, or was it sudden onset?

Well since she's recovered from it, I think that's the main thing.

Plus since many people don't recognize stroke symptoms, if getting a chuckle out of this helps spread awareness at the same time then I think it's a valuable, viral, PSA!

It happens quite sudden actually. She was walking one time and all of a sudden she couldn't see and stuff. Tried to talk and it was that was all messed up. It went away but she's been looked at and they can't find anything wrong.

Wow, that's really scary. What if it had happened while she was driving? That's a really scary thought.

Agreed. I had them from age 12 till around 20... It got so bad, i'd literally find a hard wall to hit my head against for that slight second of relief.
